NFG ADAPTIVE GAMES FITFEST LOUGHBOROUGH SUNDAY
About This Competition
After the huge success of our first Adaptive competition we are very excited to bring you the second edition of 'NFG x REORG ADAPTIVE GAMES' powered by WIT & Marchon.
FitFest is the exciting finale for the NFG season, and what better place to host it than the prestigious Loughborough University. When it comes to inspiration, pushing, the limits of fitness & dedication, adaptive athletes are at the top of the tree! If you are an adaptive athlete looking to have a good time whilst testing your fitness then this is the event for you!
Event Categories (all Individual):
UPPER EXTREMITY - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant and permanent impairment that exists, or causes limitations, to the upper extremity (e.g.arm) to include the shoulder joint
LOWER EXTREMITY - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant and permanent impairment that exists, or causes limitations, to the lower extremity (e.g. leg) to include the hip joint.
NEUROMUSCULAR - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant and permanent impairment that causes functional limitations in movement, specifically in gait, balance, range of motion, and/or coordination through impaired muscular and/or general neurological signalling in the trunk and/or more than one limb control, dystonia, ataxia, athetosis, hypertonia, paralysis and/or general neurological signalling in the trunk and/or more than one limb.
SEATED W/O HIP - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant, and permanent impairment that causes functional limitations and requires athletes to perform most Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a seated position;

LOWER EXTREMITY & UPPER EXTREMITY - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant and permanent impairment that exists, or causes limitations, to the lower extremity (e.g. leg) to include the hip joint. Athletes must also have a diagnosed, significant and permanent impairment that exists, or causes limitations, to the upper extremity (e.g.arm) to include the shoulder joint
SHORT STATURE - Eligibility for the Short Stature Division is evaluated through measurements and is specific to each gender. To be eligible, male athletes must meet all of the following criteria: Standing height ≤ 57 in (145 cm); and Arm length ≤ 26 in (66 cm); and Sum of standing height plus arm length ≤ 79 in (200 cm). To be eligible, female athletes must meet all of the following criteria: Standing height ≤ 54 in (137 cm); and Arm length ≤ 25 in (63 cm); and Sum of standing height plus arm length ≤ 75 in (190 cm).
SENSORY IMPAIRED - Athletes must have a diagnosed, significant, and permanent impairment that causes functional limitations in vision caused by dysfunction of the eye structure, optical nerves or optical pathways, or visual cortex of the brain;
