Holiday Fitness Challenge
About This Competition
2023 Holiday Fitness Challenge
Stay focused and motivated during the holidays with this online competition that will take place during November 1 through December 31, 2023.
How does it work?
On Wednesday, November 1st an announcement will be made with all three workouts, movement standards, and videos. You'll have untill Thursday, November 30th at 8pm to complete all three workouts and submit your score. You can do the workouts as many times as you would like and in any order you want.
Then on Friday, December 1st at 5pm three new workouts will be announced and you'll have till Sunday, December 31st to complete and submit your scores on those three workouts.
Judging:
You'll need someone to judge you while you complete the workout. Judges must hold you accountable to the CrossFit Open judges standard when judging your movements. If you do not have a judge you'll need to submit videos of your workouts. In ordder to be eliagibale for prizes videos of certain workouts will be requested to validate your score. We highly recommended using a certified Crossfit Judge.

Can I register both as an individual and on a team? Yes!
You may choose to do one workout RX yet another Scaled but RX will always be ranked Higher on the leaderboard then scaled.

Flow of event: On the count of 3,2,1 go. Partner A will complete the Box jumps overs required, (Note: Only one box is allowed. Followed by the Double DB lunges (DB handles held in a Front rack position) required once complete Partner B will go in Reverse completing the Double DB lunges first then finishing with the box jumps required. The score is total reps completed at the end of the 16 min. Note the 25 feet equals 1 rep
Note: Foundation is not lunging. This division will be walking with their DBs in a front rack position.

Flow of event: (Part A)
Both athletes will be standing tall behind their bar on the count of 3,2,1 both athletes will work through their required movements starting with bar movements first. Partner A will complete 21 snatches, 21 bar facing burpees, 15 snatches, 15 bar facing burpees, 9 snatches, 9 bar facing burpees while partner B wil complete 21 Clean and Jerks, 21 Bar facing burpees, 15 Clean and Jerks, 15 Bar facing bar facing burpees, 9 Clean and Jerk 9 Bar facing burpees. The score on the first part is total reps completed between both partners the tie break score is the fastest time out of the two partners.
Both Partners will rest from 7-9 min this is mandatory
Flow of event: (Part B)
At the 9 min mark both athletes will work on part B at the same time. Partner A completes 15 FS, 15 pull ups, 10 FS, 10 pull ups, 5FS, 5 pull ups while Partner B will complete 15 OHS, 15 pull ups, 10 OHS, 10 pull ups, 5 OHS, 5 pull ups.
(Note: multiple bars can be set up or athletes can have outside help loading up bars) The score on the second half is number of reps completed at 16 min cap time by both partners and the tie break score is who out of the two partners completed the second part the fastest.
