Workouts

22.1  (Time Cap 12:00)

As a Pair:

AMRAP12:

50x Synchro Box Jump Overs 24”/20” (With Step Down)

40x Thrusters 40/30kg (Shared)

30x Synchro Down Ups

*** VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIRED***

When the timer clock starts, the athletes begin by executing the box jump overs, stepping down from the box on each repetition as per the 2022 CrossFit Games Open standard. The athletes are synchronised when they are both on the floor on the opposite side of the box.

Upon completion of the box jump overs, the athletes advance to complete the thrusters, sharing the repetition volume as required.

Upon completion of the thrusters, the athletes advance to begin the down ups. Athletes demonstrate synchronised repetitions of down ups by standing to full extension together.

Immediately upon completing the down ups, the athletes begin the prescribed work again and continue in this fashion, accumulating as many reps as possible until the end of the 12 minute time cap.

Scoring

At the end of the 12 minute time cap, time is called and the total reps are combined with those of the other 5 sub teams and submitted as a TOTAL SCORE for the combined team of 12. There is no split time for this workout.

22.2 A (Time Cap A+B 16:00)

As a team of 4:

For Time:

Row 3000m

Teammates take turns rowing until a 3km distance is completed.

Teams should set the performance monitor on the rowing machine to count down from 3000m. When the timer clock starts, the athletes begin the row (seated on the row) alternating the active athlete as they see fit until the screen registers 0 metres. The final athlete may not step off the rowing machine until 0 metres is reached on the screen - an athlete may not pull and disembark while the metres ‘tick over’.

When the performance monitor screen reads 0, the time is recorded for scoring and the active athlete may disembark. Athletes immediately progress to the next portion of the workout - performing the 1 rep max snatch in the remaining time.

Scoring

Workout 22.2 A

At the end of the 16 minute cap, the time is called and the sub team’s rowing score is added to the rowing scores for the other two sub teams and submitted as a TOTAL TIME for the combined team of 12.

Workout 22.2 B

The heaviest individual snatch scores for each athlete are combined to create a total for the sub team. The totals from the 3 sub teams are combined to produce a TOTAL SCORE for the combined team of 12.

The row and snatch will be scored as two separate events with equal weighting of points for each.

22.2 B

As a team of 4:

1RM Snatch

***VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIRED***

Accumulate a team snatch total by combining the scores from each athlete’s heaviest successful snatch.

Immediately following the row, athletes may begin attempts at the snatch. The bar may be loaded prior to beginning the row.

A 28mm 20kg bar and a 25mm 15kg bar may be used for mixed gender teams and athletes may lift simultaneously provided that male athletes use the 20kg bar and female athletes use a 15kg bar. A team made up of all males or all females may only utilise a single bar. Athletes may increase or decrease the weight at their discretion during the remaining workout time and may take as many attempts as possible in order to record a score. All athletes should produce a score and each athlete’s maximum successful load will count toward scoring (1 snatch score per athlete).

A lift that is in process, that has left the floor, at the time cap may be counted toward scoring if the lift is successful.

22.3  (Time Cap 18:00)

As a team of 6, in sub teams of 2:

Sub Team A

45x Synchro BB Deadlifts 80/50kg

45x Synchro Pull Ups

Synchro BB Deadlifts 100/65kg

Sub Team C

21-15-9

Synchro BB Deadlifts 120/80kg

BMU (Shared)

*** VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIRED***

Sub teams complete their subsections of the workout as quickly as possible; releasing the next sub team with a tag of the hand. Do not use a countdown timer.

Teams should have only two bars in use at a time. Additional bars may not be set up ready to use. If further male or female bars are required after the first pair have completed their round; the bar/bars to be retired must be stripped and the new bar/bars loaded from scratch.

When the timer clock starts, the athletes from the first sub team of 2 athletes begin the workout by completing 45 synchro deadlifts. When the synchro deadlifts are complete, the athletes advance to the bar to perform 45 synchro pull ups. At this time, teammates are permitted to change the load on the barbells or change one or both barbells out as required.

Upon completion of the synchro pull ups by sub team A, sub team A tags sub team B to release them to begin their segment of the workout.

Sub team B begins their segment by completing 27 synchro deadlifts before advancing to complete 27 synchro chest to bar pull ups. The athletes return to the barbell to complete 18 synchro Deadlifts and then progress back to the bar to complete 18 synchro chest to bar pull ups. At this time, teammates are permitted to change the load on the barbells or change one or both barbells out as required.

Upon completion of the synchro chest to bar pull ups by sub team B, sub team B tags sub team C to release them to begin their segment of the workout.

Sub team C begins their segment by completing 21 synchro deadlifts before advancing to complete 21 bar muscle ups, shared between the two athletes. They continue by completing 15 of each movement and then 9 of each movement with the bar muscle up volume shared between them.

Scoring

Upon completion of the 9 bar muscle ups or at the end of the 18:00 time cap, time is called and the total reps (of a potential 270) are combined with the score from the second sub team to be entered as a TOTAL SCORE (of a potential 540) for the combined team of 12. The finish time (for sub teams completing 270 reps) or the maximum time of 18:00 (for teams completing less than 270 reps) is also recorded and combined with the second sub team’s time to be submitted as a TOTAL TIME for the combined team of 12.
