About This Competition

Welcome to $plit the Pot WOD 22.1

We are thrilled you want to attend our event! Workout 22.1 will be announced and registration will officially open on 1/1/22 at 8am CST.

$plit the Pot WOD is a new online fitness competition series where winners get to ‘split the pot’ and take home half of all entry fees in their respective divisions! With 10 different divisions, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to throw down against others with similar age/fitness levels from all over the world. On the 1st of each month, $plit the Pot WOD will announce a new, challenging workout. You’ll then have until the 15th of the month to register and submit your score for a chance to win *cash prizes. And best yet, for your $5 entry fee, you'll also receive a 20% off coupon to O2.

*To be eligible to win cash prizes, participants will be required to submit video documentation of their performance.

For Total Time:

3 rounds of:

10 Weighted step-ups

10 DB snatches

10 Pull-ups

20 Weighted step-ups

20 DB snatches

20 Pull-ups

Rest 2 min, then:

1 round of:

30 Weighted step-ups

30 DB snatches

30 Pull-ups

*Rx/Masters Divisions: DB weight is 50/35#, step-up height is 24/20"

*Scaled/Masters 50+ Divisions: DB weight is 35/20#, step-up height is 20/16". Participants in these divisions will perform ring rows in place of the pull-ups.


Standards:

Step-ups:

One leg working at a time; working leg must be fully extended before the non-working leg is on the top of the box. Must alternate working leg each rep.

Dumbbell can be held any way - at the side, on the shoulder, behind the neck, goblet-style are all OK. Cannot be assisted with straps.

Dumbbell snatches:

Must alternate arms each rep; switching in the air is allowed. Both sides of the dumbbell head must clearly touch the ground for each rep. No press outs. Muscle snatches are allowed.

Pull-ups:

Must begin with a dead hang, finish with chin over the bar. Any style pull-up is allowed - strict, kipping, butterfly.

Ring rows:

The bottom of the ring should be at hip height, feet in line with the overhead bar. Butt must touch the ground at bottom with arms fully extended, and chest must touch the rings with the legs fully extended at the top.

Video Submission Standards:

  • Please start the video by stating your full name and the division you are competing in. Be sure to show all equipment to be used and confirm the weight of dumbbell and height of box.

  • Avoid placing the camera low to the ground. It is recommended to place the camera at least 3 feet off the ground.

  • Film so the competition area can be seen clearly.

  • Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance.

  • A clock or timer must be visible throughout the workout.
