Movement List:
Workouts are located on the "Workouts" tab: GOAT 2025 Workouts. The movements will be available mid-March 2025.
Choosing a Division
The RX Division is appropriate for athletes who can RX most teen versions of workouts. Athletes will be required to do things like chest-to-bar pull-ups or hand-stand push-ups. They may have a choice between movements (e.g. hand-stand walk OR wall walks). Weights are similar to the CrossFit Open 14-15 and 16-17 Age Groups.
The Scaled Division is appropriate for athletes who can only RX a small portion of teen workouts or for athletes who are relatively new to CrossFit. Choices will be available (pull-ups or ring-rows). Weights will be lighter or dumbbells / kettlebells will be subbed.
The 10-12 Division is for boys and girls. Choices will be available (pull-ups or ring-rows). Weights will be lighter or dumbbells/kettlebells will be subbed.
Note: As athletes register, the divisions will be assessed for viability. If participation is low in a division, we may combine that division with another. This may change a movement in a workout (it may be a removed or a new choice introduced). We'll work individually with parents / legal guardians / athletes when these situations occur.

Registration is closed. If you want to enter the competition, text/call Joe Marcavage at (570)-236-4770. If we're not to close to the comp date, we may be able to fit you in.

Workout Notes:
- For Pull Ups, kipping, strict, or butterfly may be used. Pronated, supinated, or mixed grip can be used.
- Ring Rows
- Athletes declaring ring rows will be measured from the foot to the top of the hip. The bottom of the rings will be set to the measurement.
- A single or set of 45lb plates will be placed under the pull up bar. When performing ring rows, the athlete will plant their feet firmly on the floor with their toes resting against the 45lb plates. They cannot rest their feet directly on top of the plates.
- Kipping or strict ring rows may be utilized.
- Ladder Sprints
- Each ladder sprint has three lines: start, middle, and end. The athletes start behind the starting line, run to the middle for a 3-point touch, run to the start for a 3-point touch, run to the end for a 3-point touch, and run to the start for a 3-point touch. This is one rep / ladder sprint.
- The segments are about 12' long. Start to end is 24' long.
- To get credit for a ladder sprint segment, the athlete must 3-point touch behind the blue tape line. If any part of their hand or feet is touching the tape, a no-rep will be called.
- If a no-rep is called, the athlete must re-perform a 3-point touch behind the tape for the segment where the no-rep was called.
- Athletes will perform a 3-point touch behind every "start", "middle", and "end" except the very beginning (on ladder sprint 1 directly after pull-ups or ring-rows) and the very end (on ladder sprint 3, heading to burpee over plate).
- On the final ladder sprint, the athlete must cross the blue tape line before attempting Lateral Burpee Over Plate.
- Lateral Burpee Over Plate
- Athletes are parallel to the plate when their chest and thighs are on the floor (for the burpee).
- Athletes can step or jump onto the plate.
- Athletes must touch the top of the plate with both feet before performing a burpee on the other side.
- If a no-rep is called, just continue working, there is no need to move back to the side of the plate where the no-rep was called.
Scoring Notes:
- When a choice of Pull Up or Ring Row is available, the PU reps count as 2. Example 6 PU = 12 Reps. 12 RR = 12 reps.
- Workout is for reps.
