FITTEST Series - SOLO - GRIT
About This Competition
WeTRAIN presents the ‘FITTEST SERIES’. Register for the grittiest functional fitness event in the Hybrid game and earn the accolade of "FITTEST Solo" or "FITTEST TEAM" in the GRIT Race series.
GRIT Race - This event will be SOLO and SAME SEX or MIXED PAIRS categories, in a FOR TIME format. Event details within.
SOLO's or PAIR's will complete an 11 station race FOR TIME - a total of 5 Run stations and 6 GRIT stations alternatively. The TOP 3 Overall Open SOLO's and PAIR's to complete all 11 stations, consecutively, the fastest will podium for prizes.
Categories will also be recognised upon age divided leaderboards over a year long season. See below for category and age division details.
Each category also have the opportunity to achieve STATION MASTER status for those who achieve the fastest time for individual stations.
GRIT has two types of run stations - FLAT and HILL.
Whilst it also has four types GRIT stations that embody physically and mentally challenging disciplines - HAUL, ASCEND, CARRY and SEND.

CATEGORIES:
OPEN SOLO - Male/Female - individual male or females, of any age or any ability, looking to take on the full GRIT OPEN course alone.
Podiums will represent the following:
OPEN OVERALL MALE / FEMALE (Top 3 prizes)
16-20 MALE / 16-20 FEMALE
21-29 MALE / 21-29 FEMALE
30-35 MALE / 30-35 FEMALE
36-44 MALE / 36-44 FEMALE
45+ MALE / 45+ FEMALE
OPEN PAIRS - Same Sex Male / Same Sex female / Mixed Sex Male-Female - don't want to take on the full GRIT OPEN course alone? Saddle up with a partner. All RUN stations must be completed fully by both partners, all GRIT stations can be shared.
Podiums will represent the following:
OPEN OVERALL PAIR MALE / FEMALE / MIXED (Top 3 pairs from each category prizes)
16-20 MALE / 16-20 FEMALE
21-29 MALE / 21-29 FEMALE
30-35 MALE / 30-35 FEMALE
36-44 MALE / 36-44 FEMALE
45+ MALE / 45+ FEMALE

Workouts
Competitors - SOLO or PAIRS - aim is to complete the following sequence FOR TIME. Fastest finishers to complete all stations consecutively for the podium.
Station 1 - 1k Ski
Station 2 - 1k Run Flat
Station 3 - HAUL: 25 Winch Pull downs (32/24kg)
Station 4 - 1k Run Hill
Station 5 - 1k Row
Station 6 - 1k Run Flat
Station 7 - ASCEND: *xreps TBC on day of event* Loaded Box Step Overs (w/WV 25/15kg)
Station 8 - 1k Run Hill
Station 9 - CARRY: 250m Sandbag Carry (45/30kg) w/ 10 BOB every 50m
Station 10 - 1k Run Flat
Station 11 - SEND: Rogue Echo Bike Kcals 50/35
Each category also have the opportunity to achieve STATION MASTER status for those who achieve the fastest time for individual stations.
GRIT race has two types of run stations - FLAT and HILL, with 5 stations in total. The run stations are each 1k and equal a total of 5k across the race.
Whilst the race also has four types of physically and mentally disciplined stations (otherwise known as the GRIT stations) -
HAUL - Pro category require 12 total rope climbs to be completed (not yet programmed), whilst Open and Masters are required to complete a total of 25 Loaded winch pull downs
ASCEND - Competitors will be required to complete a number of Loaded box step overs wearing a weighted vest. The number of reps will be equal to height of a chosen famous building or landmark. Ie the steps/metres required to ascend the Burj Khakifa. This will change from event to event.
CARRY - Solo Competitors will be required to complete a 250m Sandbag carry, at every 50m completing 10 Burpees over bag.
SEND - Competitors will be required to complete Rogue Echo Bike Kcals to finish the race. SOLO 50/35 and PAIRS - 100/80, MIXED PAIRS 90.
