This is the GRIT SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP!!! This event will host athletes from all over the PNW, most of which earned an invitation to compete by making the podium in 1 of the 3 GRIT SERIES competition events. The spots are limited to 10 teams per division - screening for the intermediate teams will be done.
Keeping with the structure of The GRIT Series, the Championship is a two-person, same sex, team event.
The Championship is primarily by invitation to those teams who have earned it. If they choose not to compete at the Championship, it will open a spot for the that division that can be filled with a qualifying team in that division.
Advanced teams uphold the similar standards that CrossFit has for elite level athletes. Intermediate teams uphold similar standards for "Rx" level athletes that may not be proficient in advanced movements.
All athletes are encouraged to familiarize themselves with different fitness domains; more specifically to have some exposure to CrossFit-style workouts and powerlifting. The Rx division could include all forms of powerlifting, bodyweight movements, and gymnastic style movements. The Scaled divisions will sometimes include lighter weight and less advanced movements than Rx. All athletes will be required to sign a waiver.
