Barbells + BBQ : Locked + Loaded
Our annual Olympic Weightlifting “Meat” is back, and it's better than ever!
Just like a real Oly meet, you get three snatches and three clean & jerks. But that's where the simlarity ends.
This year’s twist?
Lifters register in one of 5 brackets, where all the weights are pre-selected, aka Locked + Loaded. Everybody in your bracket lifts the same weights, and scores are calculated using the Sinclair Formula, whch is a mathematical formula that allows us to compare athletes of different bodyweights. So you'll need to weigh in, but there are no weight classes.
How it Works
Athletes compete one bracket at a time. The bars are Locked + Loaded, the clock is running, and lifters wait in the BBQueue. You get 3 minutes between attempts, and when your name is called, it's go time!
Choosing your Bracket
Pick the bracket that matches your level. You can play it safe, or go for broke. Just remember, the weights are Locked + Loaded for your bracket, so those are the weights you have to lift.
It's gonna be a fast-paced, exciting day of lifting that you won't want to miss.
