About This Competition

Mayhem In the Mountains
Presented by Kingman CrossFit

This Team Functional Fitness Competition will be taking advantage of the beautiful terrain located right in our backyard, Hualapai Mountain Park!
Hualapai Mountain Park offers many outdoor activities, various hiking trails and gorgeous scenery. With the combined elements of functional fitness, gymnastics, olympic lifting and the great outdoors, Mayhem In the Mountains is guaranteed to be the tristate area’s premier event of the year!

This is a Team Competition.
Each team will be made up of 4 competitors;
2 Males and 2 Females.
Teams will be entered into the following categories,
Rx and Scaled.

** Due to the Popularity of this event, we will be capping it at 40 teams, so sign up early!**

Each Team will Compete in a minimum of 3 Events.
The top 4 teams in each division will compete in a final.

Cash prizes and prize packages will be presented to the RX podium teams.
Prize packages will be awarded to the scaled teams.

Here are the recommended standards for both categories:

RX: Men/Woman
1 Rep Max Clean and Jerk of 185/125
24in Box Jumps
Double Unders
Handstand Push-Ups
Kettle Bell Movements 70/53
Trail Running (bring appropriate footwear, Metcons/Nanos will not cut it)
Strongman movements such as the use of axle bars, kegs, atlas stones, and sand bags may be included.
Full understanding of equipment like the Concept2 Rower and/or the Assault AirBike.
Full understanding and ability to reach full Range of Motion for all movements common in functional fitness.

Scaled: Men/Woman
1 Rep Max Clean and Jerk of 135/95
20in Box Step Ups
Single Unders
Hand Release Push Ups
Kettle Bell Movements 53/35
Trail Running (bring appropriate footwear, Metcons/Nanos will not cut it)
Strongman movements such as the use of axle bars, kegs, atlas stones, and sand bags may be included.
Full understanding of equipment like the Concept2 Rower and/or the Assault AirBike.
Full understanding and ability to reach full Range of Motion for all movements common in functional fitness.

Movements that will NOT be included:
TUG OF WAR, Muscle Ups, Pull Ups, Chest To bar, or Pistols.

$350 - Early Bird Discount Though August 31st 

$400 - Full Price, Beginning September 1st


Things to note:
You will be outside all day, dress accordingly.
Bring Sunscreen.
Please bring your own shade, as it will be limited but there will be plenty of space for “easy ups” and tents.
Food and Drink vendors will be on site, but you are more than welcome to bring food and drinks.

Workouts

M/M/F/F

In M/M and F/F pairs, complete AMRAP in 8 minutes of: 9 - Deadlifts 6 - Hang Power Cleans 3 - Front Squats RX = 155/105 Scaled = 105/65 Partners will alternate rounds. Partner 1 will complete 1 round, then tag partner 2. Partner 2 will complete 1 round, then tag partner 1. This continues until time allows. Each team will receive two scores for this event. M/M will score against other M/M teams in save division. Same for W/W teams. You cannot combine movements. IE use the 9th Deadlift rep as the start of your 1st Hang Power Clean Rep. You must complete the 9th deadlift, then start your 1st HPC. Same goes for your 6th HPC. You must complete the HPC (No squat cleans allowed), then complete the 3 Front Squats!
