Notes
11-12 Division
This workout is performed on a running clock with a time cap of 9 minutes. After the call of „3,2,1…GO“ the athlete has to perform a deadhang. There is a 3-minute window for a single attempt to reach the longest deadhang. The athlete has only one attempt.
After the 3-minute timeframe, there is a mandatory 1 minute break for everyone from minute 3 to 4.
At minute 4, the athlete may start the next 5-minute Amrap, consisting of 10 alternating DB snatches and 10 alternating lunges. The athlete repeats this scheme until the 9-minute time cap is reached.
There are two different scores for this workout. The first score is based on the deadhang (time on the bar – longer is better) and the second score is the total number of repetitions of the 5-minute Amrap.
Score Submission:
- 11-12 division: judge only
- 13-14 division: judge only + video (no submission required, please provide video only on request)
- 15-16 and 17-18 division: judge + video submission mandatory (video submission via competition corner).
Movement Standards
Deadhang: The deadhang position begins when the athlete hangs freely on the bar with no feet touching the stances or the ground. In the deadhang position, the athlete must use both hands to hold on. It is allowed to re-grip but not to hold on with only one single hand. This movement ends when the athlete falls off the bar or the athlete touches the stances or the ground. The bar needs to be high enough for the athlete to hang freely without the feet touching the ground.
Alternating dumbbell Snatch: The dumbbell snatch starts with both heads of the dumbbell on the ground. The athlete must lift the dumbbell overhead in one motion. A clean and jerk is not allowed. Touch-and-go is permitted, but bouncing the dumbbell is not allowed. The athlete must alternate arms after each repetition and may not alternate until a successful rep is achieved. The non-lifting hand or arm is NOT allowed to make contact with the legs or other parts of the body during the repetition.
The rep is credited when the arms, hips, and knees are fully extended, and the dumbbell is clearly over the middle of the athlete’s body when viewed from the profile.
A split snatch is allowed, but both feet must return in line under the athlete’s body while the dumbbell is locked out overhead for the repetition to count. The athlete may not receive assistance moving or resetting the dumbbell.
Lunge: Each lunge begins with the feet together and the athlete standing tall with hips and knees extended. At the bottom of the lunge, the trailing knee must contact the ground. The rep is credited when the athlete is standing tall with hips and knees fully extended. The athlete must alternate which foot leads for each step.
Equipment
- Bar for deadhang
- DB (5 kg)
