About This Competition

 

Old Dirty Masters is back for it's 3rd event dedicated to Masters only.  (This time at the amazing "Industry Hills Expo Center" In the City of Industry.  Both Masters RX and Masters Scaled Divisions, and by Popular Demand we've opted to grow with you!  (We've Partnered with "Battleground Events" and they're bringing back "Fallout 3!!!"

Old Dirty Masters Team Divisions: Masters Rx, Masters Scaled. (Introducing the "Super Masters" divisions where the team must combine to 90 or more in RX or Scaled as their own respective divisions).  If you are needing to register for Masters Division you are in the right place! 

Fallout 3 will be for the following Team Divisions: Rx, Intermediate, Beginner, 1st Responder, Special Needs. To for info and to register for FALLOUT 3 click HERE.  

ODM will begin in the am thru early noon, with Fallout 3 heats beginning immediately after. Workouts will be the same for ODM and Fallout 3. 

ODM Teams of 2, Same Gender.  Must be 35 or older by the end of the Calendar year/2022, and your team must combine to a minimum combined age of 79 or more by the end of the calendar year/2022.  (Same rules for the "Super Masters" divisions save for the team combined age is 90 or more)

(eg a 40 and 39 year old is ok, 35 and a 52 year old totally ok; 36 and a 35 year old NOT ok) Has to equal 79 or more by Dec. 31st 2022

wods are:

"Saved By The Time Cap"  an AMRAP of 12min

3x of

-18 Snatches 95/65 (Masters Scaled 75/55)

-18 Toes to Bar (Scaled Hanging Knee Raises open Standards)

then immediately into....

2x of

-15 Hang Clean n Jerks 115/75 (Masters Scaled 95/65)

-15 Pull Ups (Masters Scaled Ring Rows)

then immediately into ......

1x of 

-9 Bar Muscle Ups (Masters Scaled does Pull ups)

-9 Shoulder to Overhead 135/85 (Masters scaled 105/75)

-Max Burpees for remainder of clock......

(1 partner 1 rests combining to complete reps)

 

"Lets Get Physical"

3 Different Scores on a 10 min clock

first part is a 4min Amrap

-Partner A Max Cal Row

-Partner B Max Double Unders (Masters Scaled may do singles or Double Unders, reps count the same, athletes may switch at ANY time during the 4 min)

....next part Last 6 minutes will be A Complex.

This was our "heavy Metal Hair Band Complex" from Old Dirty Masters 1.  Ues the raminder of the clock to get a 1RM each of the following:

-1 Clean (Any)

-2 Front Squats

(Score is combined Heaviest successful Load)

 

Floater is .......

"Eye of The Tiger" AMRAP 8

-A total of 400m in Run Volume as a team/buy in.

(each run is 100m.  The team may break up however eg. 1 runner does all 4, split as a relay 2 and 2, 1,1,1,1, or 3 and 1, etc.  All acceptable depending on your strategy.

then..

-Athlete A Max Cal Ski Erg

-Athlete B Max Single DB Lunges 35/25 (Masters Scaled does 25/body weight aka no DB) Athletes may hold DB how ever they like.

(Team may switch at any time, also..... strategy time.... Athlete A may start Ski at any time, once that same athete is done running, but once they start on the ski that athlete has relinquished their opportunity to run)

Workouts

400m Run (Total team volume as a buy in), ran relay style in increments of 100 meters, team may break it up how ever they like.  eg both do 2 runs in ANY order, 3 to 1 or have your gazelle run all 4 runs)  

-Athlete A Max Ski Cals (may begin soon as this athlete is done running or if not running at allmay begin right away but relinquishes their chance to run again)

-Athlete B Max Single DB Lunges in Place (forward or backward and hold DB however you like) RX 55/35, Masters RX/INT 35/25, Masters Scaled/Beginners 25/bodyweight (No DB)

(Teams may switch at any time, but lunges do NOT start till all 400m of run volume have concluded)

Total Lunges of the "Eye of the Tiger" Wod

(Each lunge counts as 1 rep, knee must make contact with the ground and stand at full hip and knee extension for reps to count.  Forward or back ward lunges count either way, athletes choice)

 

Masters RX 35/25, Masters Scaled 25/No Db aka body weight

Immediately after Lets get physical (Rope turns and Cal row) you have the remainder of your clock to find a 1RM of the following complex:

1 Clean (Any, ground to a stablized locked out front rack)

2 Front squats (below parralel and lock out up top)

Partner A does Max Double Unders or Singles (value is the same, but athletes may choose their preference in the scaled division)

(This is happening as Partner B is doing a max cal row.  Partners may switch at either time.)

Each score is a seperate score.

Max Cal Row

This is happening Concurrently with the Max Double unders, athletes may swicth at any
