Trash Panda Games 2025


📅 December 13th | 👥 Male/Female Partner Competition

The Trash Panda Games are here to close out the year with a bang! This full-day partner competition is designed to test fitness, teamwork, and grit across divisions: RX, Intermediate, and Masters 40+.

Prizes will be Awarded to the top 3 teams in each category! 

T-shirt for each person and name plates for teams!


Athletes will face a variety of workouts that showcase strength, skill, and endurance.


5 workouts and 1 tiebreak floater

All divisions will follow CrossFit standards for the following movements:

Format:

One partner completes Part A in full before the other begins Part B.

Time stops when both partners have finished their respective rep schemes.


Standards (CrossFit Open standards apply)

Deadlift:

Barbell starts on the ground.

Rep is complete when athlete stands tall with hips and knees fully extended and shoulders behind the bar.

No sumo stance allowed.

Bar must be lowered with control; bouncing is not permitted.


Pull-Up:

Athlete must start with arms fully extended and feet off the ground.

Rep is complete when chin clearly passes over the plane of the bar.

Any style permitted (strict, kipping, butterfly).

Both arms must stay on the bar for the rep to count.

1:00 transition/ B starts at 5min mark till 9min mark

Partner B: 4:00 to establish max 3-rep Thruster

Score = combined heaviest successful lifts from both partners


Standards (CrossFit standards apply)

Thruster (No Jerks).knees can't bend as you extend the arms up.



Barbell begins on the ground and may be cleaned into the first rep.

Each rep starts below parallel: hip crease clearly below top of the knee.

Movement must be one continuous motion from squat into overhead press.

No jerks allowed – bar may not be re-dipped under after extension begins.

Rep is complete when bar is locked out overhead with hips, knees, and arms fully extended, and bar over midline.

For the set to count, all 3 reps must be unbroken and meet the standard.



Expectations:

Athletes have the full 4:00 window to load, attempt, and complete a heaviest successful 3-rep set.

Format:

Reps may be split between partners however they choose.

Time stops when all reps are completed.


Standards (CrossFit standards apply):

Double DB Box Step-Ups:

Both dumbbells must be held in a farmer’s carry position (at the sides).

Entire foot must make contact on the box at the start of the step.

Rep is complete when athlete is standing tall on the box with hips and knees fully locked out.

Alternating legs is not required, but both athletes must meet the same standard.


Toes-to-Bar:

Both feet must clearly touch the bar at the same time between the hands.

Heels must break behind the rig/post at the bottom of each rep.

Kipping or strict allowed.


Handstand Push-Ups:

Athlete must begin in full lockout with arms extended and heels against the wall.

Rep is complete when head touches the floor (or abmat if provided) and athlete presses back to full lockout with arms extended and heels touching the wall.

Kip or strict permitted unless otherwise stated.


Double & Single DB Devil’s Press:

Rep begins with both dumbbells on the ground, hands gripping dumbbells.

Chest and hips must touch the ground at the bottom.

Athlete then moves dumbbells in one motion to overhead.

Rep is complete when both dumbbells are locked out overhead with hips, knees, and arms fully extended, and dumbbells over midline.


Burpee Box Overs:

Athlete begins with chest and thighs touching the floor.

Must jump onto and over the box (any style of jump/step down permitted).

Rep is complete once both feet contact the ground on the far side of the box.

Athletes do not need to open hips on top of the box.



Expectations:

Athletes may partition reps however they wish, but only one works at a time.

Format:

You Go, I Go – One partner completes a full round before switching.

Either partner may start.

Time stops when both athletes complete their assigned rounds.


Standards (CrossFit movement standards apply):

Row: Athlete must stay on the rower until the monitor shows the required calories.

Double Unders: Rope passes under the feet twice per jump. Any missed rep must be restarted from that point.

Power Snatch: Barbell starts on the ground, lifted in one motion overhead. Must finish with knees, hips, and arms fully extended and bar over midline of body.

Wall Walks: Athlete starts chest and thighs on the floor both hands remain on line untill both feet are off the ground,  Walk hands back until both hands touch the 10'' line at the same time and feet stacked above. Return under control to starting line both hands touching starting line . Each rep starts and finishes on the ground.

Lateral Burpees Over Barbell


Format:

You Go, I Go – One partner must complete the entire round (both movements) before switching.
Goes A. 3/3 B.6/6 A. 9/9 B. 12/12 A.15/15

Continue ascending in reps until time is called.


Standards (CrossFit movement standards apply):

Clean & Jerk:

Bar starts on the ground.

Must be lifted to shoulders (clean) and then overhead (jerk).

Any style clean (power, squat, split) permitted.

Any style jerk permitted (push, split, power).

Rep is complete when bar is locked out overhead, hips and knees fully extended, feet together under control.


Lateral Burpees Over Barbell:

Athlete starts with chest and thighs on the ground.

Must jump (two feet takeoff) laterally over the bar.

Burpee rep is complete once both feet land on the opposite side.

Step-over not allowed.

Format:

Partner A begins with 100' sandbag carry.

Both athletes complete 10 synchro sandbag cleans together.

Intermediate/Masters complete 15 Sandbag Cleans total (split however) 


Partner B finishes with 100' sandbag carry.

Workout is for time. Score is completion time or points earned if capped.

This event will serve as a tiebreaker for the day.


Standards (CrossFit standards apply):

Sandbag Carry:

Carry must be completed in 25' increments.

Entire bag must cross the line to earn credit for each 25'.

Athlete may carry however they choose (shoulder, bear hug, etc.) as long as control is maintained.


Synchro Sandbag Clean:

Both athletes must begin with sandbag on the ground.

Clean to the front rack position, hips and knees fully extended, elbows in front of the bag.

Synchronization requirement: Athletes must hit the top/front rack position at the same time for the rep to count.

No tossing or dropping from overhead—bag must be controlled.


Sandbag Clean:

Clean to the front rack position, hips and knees fully extended, elbows in front of the bag.

Synchronization requirement: Athletes must hit the top/front rack position at the same time for the rep to count.

Scoring / Tie-Break Rules:

Time priority: If completed under 3:00 cap, score = time.

Point system if capped:

Each 25' segment = 1 point.

Each completed synchro clean = 1 point.

Total points determine ranking if not finished under cap.
