MetCon for Hope 2024
About This Competition
MetCon for Hope has always been about giving back to our community directly through supporting and fundraising for the Forever14 Organization.
This year's event will be a two person, same sex partner competition with one event Friday and the remaining events on Saturday.

Workouts
Event #1: Donations
Donations will once again be going to The Forever 14 Organization.
- There is a minimum requirement of $400 to place in this event, teams will be ranked by the amounts they raise.
- Anything less will be considered a last place finish.
- We will be using Go Fund Me to collect donatinos.
- Teams will have until Noon November 16th to collect and submit their donations.
Note for Teams:
Please create a GoFundMe account under the name of one of the participating athletes.
To have donors donate to your team you can use this link: https://gofund.me/df370002, which will bring them to the main donation page. Once they click “Donate Now” and enter their payment information they will select your team name under the “Referred by” drop down menu and complete their donation.

Event 2:
“Heavy Metal”
Athletes will have 10 minutes to find a 1RM Clean.

It can be either a Power Clean or a Squat Clean.

Welcome to the grind! 💪 Overdrive will test your mental grit, endurance, and teamwork from the very start. This event brings the heat and demands nothing less than pushing past your limits. Think you’ve got what it takes to conquer this? Here’s what you’ll face:
Part A:
* 50 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 inches) 🏃♂️
* 3000m SkiErg 🚀

Part B:
* 2000m SkiErg 🔥
* 50 Box Jump Overs (30/24 inches) 🦵💨
No rest between Part A and Part B—it’s a continuous workout! 😤 The clock is ticking, and you’ll have to push through fatigue, maintain composure, and find that next gear to finish strong. The team that can master pacing and strategy will come out on top. 🏆
NEW THIS YEAR: The Scaled Division! Scaled athletes will tackle their own version of the workout:

* 25 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 inches) 🏃♂️
* 2000m SkiErg 🚀

Part B:
* 2000m SkiErg 🔥
* 25 Box Jump Overs (24/20 inches)🦵💨
Scaled teams times will be doubled for scoring, ensuring a competitive field within the scaled division, but they’ll be competing right alongside the Rx teams! 💪
For example:
Team finishes workout in 20:24
*Score will be 40:48
This gives teams that may be on the fence with competing or worried about the difficulty of the workouts, but would still like to participate and support the cause! This is an opportunity for everyone to throw down with each other!
