Time: 8am - 3pm (roughly)
Teams will consist of male/female pairs
Divisions: Rx / Scaled
All athletes will receive a shirt (if signed up by deadline for T-shirt)
Prizes will be awarded to podium finishers in all divisions.
Join us for Caroline's Classic 2023 in Mount Vernon on Saturday, October 14th. This is a competition in recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness.
We are excited to continue this tradition and use CrossFit as our means for raising funds and awareness towards Down Syndrome.
100% of the registration and proceeds are donated (the cause this year is still TBD).
As in the past few years, this is a cannonball style competition consisting of teams of 2 (Male/Female Pairs) with a Scaled and Rx Division. From 0:00-50:00 expect to get your money's worth. Hard workouts but in one of the most fun and exciting atmosphere's!
To date, Caroline's Classic has raised over $60,000. All funds have stayed local with the biggest contribution of those funds going towards the opening of the all inclusive playground here in Mount Vernon - Harmony Playground.

*250m Row. Both athletes have their own rower and each row 250m.

Score for Event 1a is the time it takes to complete all reps. If teams finish before the 10:00 time cap, they can head in to the gym to begin working on Event 1b.

Event 1b (10:00-15:00)
1 Rep Max Snatch
Bar can be preloaded with starting weight prior to the event. Snatch can be a power or squat. Partners can lift at the same time. You get as many attempts as you like up until the 15:00 mark. So long as bar comes off the ground before the 15:00 mark, the lift will count.
Score is Total combined heaviest weight successfully lifted between partners.

Event 4B (46:00-50:00)
Max Calories on Concept 2 Bike Erg
Event 4b begins immediately after 4a. At the 46 min mark on the running clock, the first partner will jump on the C2 Bike and begin attacking calories. Partners must switch every minute (i.e. partner 1 starts and bikes 46:00-47:00, next partner 47:00-48:00, etc; each bike approx. 2 min total)

5 Synchro Wall Walks (Open scaled version)
**Start the workout with 10 synchro burpees & then perform 10 synchro burpees every 3 minutes (@ 0, 3, 6, 9)
Deadlifts: Synchro at top of lift - locked out with control, do not have to hit bar off ground at same time
Wall Walks: Synchro at bottom and on wall - tape lines will be on floor for where hands must touch (same as the CrossFit Open standard)

Event 2 - (17:00-24:00)

2pt = Chest to Bar Pull Ups (Jumping)
3pt = Bar Muscle Ups (Pull Ups)

Partner 1 does DUBs/DB Hang C&J buy in; After Partner 1 completes the DUBs/DB Hang C&J buy in, Partner 2 does max gymnastic reps in remaining time on the 3:00 clock. There will be a 1:00 rest/reset and partners will switch.
It is the athlete's choice on what gymnastics movement to do. Athletes do not have to stick to just one movement. For example, you can start with bar muscle ups then move to just pull ups. However, if you change movements, you must drop off pull up bar and reset.
The most advanced movement, the pull over, will earn 4 reps for every 1 that is performed. While the least advanced movement, the pull up, will earn 1 rep for every rep that is performed.
Score is total combined gymnastic reps between both partners

Partners can split cals on the ski however they see fit. Sandbag Squats

Scaled: 95/75#
*Hold bag however you like (bearhug, on shoulder, on back but must be above hips). Synchronization is at the bottom AND top of the squat.
