About This Competition

The Winter Arc Send-Off - presented by The Vitruvian games


This will be a Games style lifting ladder format where the weights will be dictated, and set up, by the TVG Team. Judges will be directing if the lift is good or no-rep. There will be a tie-break in the event of multiple athletes finishing at the same weight immediately after the prescribed weight is attempted by all the athletes. 

Olympic Lifting Option - 30 athletes (15 men, 15 women) - Clean (power or squat) and Snatch (power or squat)
Powerlifting Option - 30 athletes (15 men, 15 women) - Back Squat and Strict Press 

King and Queen of the Hill - scores will be taken from all 4 lifts on a separate leaderboard for this option to determine bonus prizes. Athletes must complete all 4 lifts for this option.

Two divisions available Two Platforms at one time. 
Open division - 10 men and 10 women each option

Masters 40+: 5 men and 5 women each option

**King and Queen of the hill will use scores from all 4 lifts on a separate leaderboard.

No weight classes.

Workouts

Establish 1RM Clean 

Weights will be performed in a ladder format as follow:

Open Men: 185-205-225-255-275-295-315-325-Shoot your shot 

Open Women: 125-145-155-175-185-195-205-215-Shoot your shot

Masters 40+ Men: 135-155-185-205-225-255-275-295-Shoot your shot 

Masters 40+ Women: 95-105-125-145-155-175-185-195-Shoot your shot

Each athlete will have :30 to attempt the lift. If the athlete missed the lift, another attempt is allowed within the :30. If the lift is failed, the athlete will then be eliminated. If the athlete is tied, then the athletes in the tie will compete in the tiebreak (announced the day of).

"Shoot Your Shot" bar - if the athlete makes it to this bar, the athlete can dictate the weight on the bar, there will only be one attempt at this bar, :30 as well.

Establish 1RM Snatch

Weights will be performed in a ladder format as follow:

Open Men: 135-155-185-205-225-255-275-Shoot your shot 

Open Women: 95-105-125-145-155-165-185-Shoot your shot

Masters 40+ Men: 95-115-135-155-185-205-225-Shoot your shot 

Masters 40+ Women: 65-85-95-105-125-145-155-Shoot your shot

Masters 40+ Women: 125-145-155-165-185-205-225-245-Shoot your shot
