Workouts

SO STRONG

Barbell lifting ladder for Points:

- 10 Lifts at increasing weight + 1 bonus lift

- Athlete has a 60 second window per lift to complete. If the athlete initially fails they can reattempt providing the lift is completed within the window.

- There will be a 10 second transition period per lift.

- Athlete can chose to Snatch, Clean (any variation) or Deadlift weight. If they fail an attempt they can reattempt using another lift (i.e. 1st attempt is a failed Snatch while the 2nd attempt is a successful Deadlift)

- Points will be awarded for successful lifts as follows:

     - 3 points for a Snatch

     - 2 points for a Clean

     - 1 point for a Deadlift

- After completion of the initial ladder athletes will "skip" 2 rounds (i.e. have 2 minutes rest) before attempting the Bonus Lift.

- During the rest period the athlete will declare the lift type & the weight they will be attempting providing it meets the criteria of being at least 2.5kg heavier than a successful lift. E.G. If an athlete during the ladder successfully Snatched 45kg, but then Cleaned/Deadlifted onwards then that athlete could attempt a Snatch at a minimum of 47.5kg.

- The athlete will then have 60 seconds to successfully complete the lift. In this bonus round you can't change from the declared lift type but can change the variation (i.e. If you declare Snatch you can attempt both a Power & Squat Snatch but not switch to a Clean).

- Points will be awarded for the bonus lift as follows:

     - 6 points for a successful Snatch

     - 3 points for a successful Clean

     - 1 points for a successful Deadlift

       - 1 Sandbag Clean to a Podium

- After each round the field will be reduced with the slowest times eliminated until only 2 athletes remain where they will face off against each other to determine who wins the event.
