SCALED SAME SEX PAIRS


SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2023

(Direct entry- NO QUALIFIERS)

1 DAY competition


Movement standards:

Scaled 

This is a category for athletes who usually complete the CrossFit Open as scaled. 


- Barbell movements / db movements:

- Snatch / Clean Jerk/ Squat for reps (25kg/35kg)

- Deadlift for reps (60kg/80kg)

- All db movements for reps (10kgs/ 15kgs) 


- Able to use a 6/9kg wallball


Gymnastic movements 

- all team members be able to perform hanging knee raises and be comfortable with single skips. 

- One team member to be able to perform a pull up (any variation, including jumping pull up. Or chin up)

- One team member to have Kipping handstand push ups to ab mat no plates. 

- One team member to have wall walks to open standard. 

- If you are someone that can link sets of toes to bar, pull ups, Kipping handstand push ups and double unders we encourage you to enter the RX category. 

- Or if you have experience competing at bigger intermediate competitions we recommend trying out our RX division.


Each team will receive a team name board, to remember the day! 


Each team will be guaranteed 4 challenging workouts testing a variety of skill sets and strategies as a team to overcome. 


Battle it out with your partner to earn them podium spots, cash prizes for RX and plenty of prizes for Scaled worth up to £750

Score= total weight combined of each athletes heaviest successful lift.

Immediately after WOD 1A: athletes must set their barbells to the required weight.


6-7 mins: REST


7-8 mins: Athlete A max reps GTOH (45/25KG)


8-9 mins: REST


9-10 mins: Athlete B max reps GTOH (45/25KG)


Score= total reps combined from athlete A+B.


(Tie break if teams get the same amount of reps, then whoever has a higher total in part A will place higher.)

Immediately after WOD 1A: athletes must set their own barbells to the required weight.


6-7 mins: REST


7-8 mins: Athlete A max reps GTOH (45/25KG)


8-9 mins: REST


9-10 mins: Athlete B max reps GTOH (45/25KG)


Score= total reps combined from athlete A+B.


(Tie break if teams get the same amount of reps, then whoever has a higher total in part A will place higher.)

30 calorie row

20 thrusters (m-35/40/45kg) (f-20/25/30kg)

10 wall walks (to line shown on the day.)


Score= total time to complete all the work. Any reps not completed will be added as 1 second per rep.

21 synchro DB hang snatches (1x 15/10kg DB each)

42 DB lunges (farmers position) (2x 15/10kgs DB's)

42 synchro ab mat sit ups


15 synchro DB hang snatches

30 DB lunges (front rack position)

30 synchro hanging knee raises


9 synchro DB hang snatches

18 DB lunges (overhead position) (Tie break time)

18 Pull ups


Score= total to complete all the work. Any reps completed will be added as 1 second per rep.
