About This Competition
We're back with Kootenay Klash Round 3!
This time around we will have two Divisions
1. Scaled: For those who've are new to competition or are not yet able to complete the requirements for Rx.
2. RX: For the athletes that have competed in the past and are comfortable completing the movements associated with the RX division.
These participants should be competent in most crossfit related movements such as gymnastics, olympic weightlifting and power lifting. The loads and intensity will be greater for this category than in scaled.
Prizes: Prizes will be given to the top 3 teams of the RX division.
Our Mission Is Community:
The focus of this competition is to build a connection between local gyms here in the Kootenays, while enjoying a fun filled day of competitive fitness for competitors and spectators alike.
Athlete check in begins at 7am while our first event will start at 8am. We will aim to finish 3:30pm but is subject to change.
Pricing and Refund Policy
Early bird pricing will be $155 per team and will available till August 31st. After that, the price will increase to $175 per team.
There will be no refunds given.
Entry for spectators will be FREE.

Workouts
This is a two part event
Part one involves a 1200m run for time. Partners will hold a skipping rope from either end while running as a team. (SC: 800m Run)
Part two will involve a 3 rep max thruster from the floor for each partner in the remaining time.
There is a 10 minute cap on this workout which will encompass both the run and the thrusters.
Part one and part two will be scored seperately.
*womens loads are scored at 1.5x

Athletes will complete the following for time
Buy In: 100 DU (100 singles for scaled)
then 3 Rounds each of (partners switch after every rd)
10 Bench Press @155/85lbs (SC: 135/65)
10 Pullups (Sc: Banded)
10 American Kb Swing @24/16KG
then Buy Out: 100 DU (100 singles for scaled)
11 min cap
* teams are responsible for changing weights themselves
* teams are ressponsible for spotting their partners
* Double Unders can be broken up anyway the team chooses
* Teams need to tag their partner before starting a new round
* Scaled allows for modificaitons to the pull-up. These modifications will result in a time penalty.
- Red band (no penalty)
- Black band (30 seconds per partner)
- Purple Band (1 minute per partner)
Athletes will complete 8 alteranting rounds of (4 rounds per person )
10 toes to bar (kipping leg raises above parallel for SC)
10/7 Cal Bike
* athletes must complete an entire round before switching with their partner

For Time
Row 50/35 cals (42 for mixed pairs)
Sandbag run 4 laps @100/70lbs
Row 50/35 cals (42 for mixed pairs)
* teams may split up the work whatever way they choose
9 minute cap
*athletes will be able to split the work whatever way they desire. As long as both partners complete at least 1 rep, there is no rule regarding 50/50 split.
