About This Competition
Welcome to Mayhem For Mustard Seed 8 !
We are excited to invite you to join us for year 8 in supporting Mustard Seed Ranch! Mustard Seed Ranch is a Christian home for children who have experienced childhood trauma. Their mission is to help children heal from childhood trauma by equipping them and their guardians with training, tools and trauma therapy. The goal is family reunification and to preserve the family.
CrossFit Mayhem wants to invite you to join us in supporting Mustard Seed Ranch for the 8th year. Beginning in 2013 with Mayhem for Mustard Seed 1, the Mayhem Family has been able to raise a total of $780,000.00 for Mustard Seed Ranch.
Mayhem for Mustard Seed 8 is an online competition that you can perform at your own gym between December 7th and December 16th. The competition consists of 3 workouts (4 scores) that can be performed in any order. Scaled and Rx versions of the workouts are available. The team registration cost is $20.00. All teams (Rx and Scaled) who have submitted scores for all three workouts by December 18th at 8:00pm (central) will be entered into a drawing to win 1 of 2 Train with Rich Couples Package. Each TWR package includes 2 complimentary TWR spots ($2000.00 value total) that can be used at any single Train with Rich weekend in the future!

Description: Athlete 1 will start on the Bike and Athlete 2 will rest. They may switch back and forth as needed during the 6 minutes. At the end of the first AMRAP, teams will go straight into Synchro lateral burpees. Athletes will lay on opposite sides of the bar. When they stand up they will jump to the opposite side of the bar. (Scaled division is allowed to step.) Front squats will be split as desired. As soon as they finish the 4 rounds, athletes will make their way back to the bike and accumulate as many calories back and forth as possible.

Description: Athletes will stand facing the bar. On the call of 3..2..1.. GO, athletes will accumulate as many Clean and Jerk reps as possible at their chosen weight. The barbell starts on the floor and finishes with hips, knees, and elbows locked out with the bar over the middle of the body. One barbell per team.

Description: Athletes will start under the bar. At the call of go, athletes will complete synchro TTB reps. Teams must have all 4 feet touching the bar simultaneously (scaled will have all their knees above their waist.) For the machines, athletes will both work on each machine at the same time. They will work until both machines read 40 calories. The Box Jump Overs will start with both athletes having both feet on the ground. The rep ends with all 4 feet on top of the box. Athletes will then step down on the other side to start the next rep. Step Ups will be performed the same. All 4 feet on the ground and then on top of the box at the same time. The Snatches will be back and forth as desired until the total reps are complete.
