DFF In-House Summer Showdown
About This Competition

The DFF SUMMER SHOWDOWN, our first annual in-house competition will be held on Saturday August 3rd, 2024. Same sex partners with RX, Scaled, and Participate divisions will raise money for new equipment, equipment maintenance, and continued education for coaches!
This is an in-house competition, so at least one person from each team must be a DFF member. The fee is PER TEAM, so work it out amongst yourselves who is signing up and who needs to pay up.
Prizes are on the line for the top RX and Scaled pairs, and the prizes will be determined by our local supporters AND funds raised by sign ups. More sign ups mean bigger prizes.
The Backstretch Food Truck will be up and running, and all participants will get a coupon for some tasty food. Total value of the coupon is to be determined, but again more sign ups mean more stuff!
There will be minimum of 4 workouts, and all participants will complete workout 1 before everyone moves to workout 2, and so on. Here is a preview of what to expect...
Workout 1 - "Run For It!"
RX: 1 Mile Run - Run together carrying one plate. Switch who is carrying the plate whenever. (45/25)
Scaled: 800m Relay - P1 runs 800m, then P2 runs 800m.
Participate: 800m Relay (scale distance as needed)
Workout 2 - "Light As A Feather"
All Divisions: Each athlete will record a heavy SNATCH and CLEAN & JERK. Your score will be the total of your team's 4 lifts.
Workout 3 - "Summer SnowDown"
All Divisions: For Time. Partner 1 Skis 300m, then completes a hand over hand sled pull, loads plates and pushes sled back. Then Partner 2 skis 300m, pulls the loaded sled, unloads plates, and pushes back to finish.
Workout 4 - "The Kitchen Sink"
All Divisions: Classic CrossFit. Details announced when 15 teams sign up
***Top teams in RX and Scaled divisions will compete in a winner-takes-all workout for the final prizes!!!
Workouts are weather pending of course, and workout start times will depend on number of sign ups. The first workout will start at 8am!

Workouts

15:00 AMRAP - 1 Work 1 Rest, resting partner MUST stay in a specific spot in lane, switch at any time BUT wall ball must travel with the working athlete at all times. Score is TOTAL rounds and reps

Participate: any weight ball, any height box, sub gymnastics as needed
Scaled
Wall Balls: 14/10 9’/8’
Box: 40” for all
Use any pull-up bar you cannot touch when standing under
Burpee Pull-ups/TTB can be swapped for 5 burpees to target (counts as 3 reps, all must be completed)
RX
Wall Balls: 20/14, 10’/9’
Box: 48” for men, 40” for women

Work 5: THE SHOWDOWN
Top 2 teams in each division compete for a winner take all finale. Team who finishes all the work first in each division wins. Both partners work at the same time, transition as desired, complete the work in any order.
