About This Competition

The largest Beginner/Intermediate Competition in the Mid Atlantc is coming Nov 4!!!

Fall Brawl is a 4 Person Team Functional Fitness Competition Hosted by CrossFit Lorton.  We have hosted other beginner events and found the WODs to be lacking so we decided to bring what we think is a better competition to the local community.

This event is built to be inclusive and open to anyone looking to compete at the Beginner and Intermediate Level.   It is designed for athletes who are new to competitions or who are not at the Rx level or higher for some of the other competitions out there. The level of competition in the Rx divisions of events like SuperFit Games (which we host and they run a GREAT event.  If you have never done one, sign up for one locally) is insane.  The level in the Novice division is really good and this opened the need for an event that is geared to the true Beginner and Intermediate athlete.

The goal is to promote a fun, friendly yet still competitive event for those looking to challenge themselves.  I love the competitive aspect of CrossFit and think it brings out the best in an athlete and the 4 Person Team format makes it even more fun and the camaraderie is what it's all about!  If you have ever done one of our events you know how much I LOVE these things!

CrossFit Lorton has hosted more of these local competitions events (12+) than anyone in the area since 2014.  We run a smooth, well programmed, on time event and our 10,000 sq ft facility is built to run large events with plenty of room and equipment for everyone including a set warm up area and athlete village outside.

Teams can be MMMM, FFFF, MMFF.

The Workouts are being designed so that Teams can strategize to have members perform to their strengths.  The 3 set workouts that every team will do will be comprised of movements and weights that everyone will be able to do if you have been doing CrossFit for more than a couple months.  The Finals, should you make them, will have some more advanced movements but not everyone on each team will be required to do those advanced movements so build your team appropriately.

How to Select a Division:

Beginner- You are either new to competition and have never competed or you have competed in other events in a Novice/Beginner Division and not reached the Podium (if you have been on the Podium go Intermediate).  You have never done the CrossFit Games Open or you have done The Open and have done 3 or more of the workouts scaled.  In your gym you probably modify most workouts either in weight or gymnastics movements.

Intermediate- It’s your first competition but you have been doing this awhile, come from an athletic background or you have competed in a couple events but have not been in the Top 30% of the Rx Division.  You have done the CrossFit Games Open and you may be able to go Rx on some or all of the workouts but you finished outside of the Top 500 in the Region.  In your gym you may be able to Rx most WODs but do need to modify some of the more advanced skills and weights.

This event is selling faster than expected and we will sell out!
