Battle in the BURG 2019
About This Competition
Join CrossFit Little Egypt for BATTLE IN THE BURG 5, a 2-day competition with Rx, Scaled and Masters divisions for teams of 3!
Rx and Masters will compete on Saturday, July 13th and Scaled will compete on Sunday, July 14th.
Team competitors are guaranteed 4 WODs with the top 5 Rx, Masters, and Scaled competitors competing in a final workout.
NOTE: There is a change this year to the Masters division. Your age must total 130, with a minimum age of 40. Make sure to look at the weight standards. When programming, the level of complexity for this particular competition is Rx – Scaled – Masters.
If you can perform multiple reps of the weighted movements at the weight listed below and are able to do at least 5 Reps of the gymnastics movements at the difficulty listed below go with prescribed (Rx). Not everyone on your team of 3 will have to do each movement. Muscle ups may be in the final workout and only one of your team members will need to be able to perform them.
The below standards are for working reps. We will have a strength workout that will progress in weight:

****We can't put every possible movement out there (like burpees and running and smiles), so be prepared for some fun events and some potential surprises, especially for the Floater and FINAL workout. ALSO be prepared for a max effort lift or a strength that progresses in weight.*****

Workouts
18 minute time cap
800 meter Farmers Carry (35/55/25/45/15/35) Rx'd/scaled/masters
50 Weighted Box Step Ups (using both DB's from carry weight ) 20/24 all divisions
70 Dumbbell Snatch (same as carry weight)
70 DB Burpees (using both DB's from carry weight)
50 Synchronized Toes to Bar (Rx'd) OR 50 Knees to Nips (Scaled) OR 50 knee raises (Masters)
For the synchronized movement, 2 people will work at a time while 1 rests.
12 minute time cap
3 lifts. One athlete will be assigned to a lift. Your team has a total of 12 minutes to find your 1RM in your assigned lift. You can go back and forth as needed. Your max weight is what counts! Athletes can assist with loading the bar. Total weight added up from the max 3 lifts = your teams score.
For max weight - in any order
Athlete 1. Complete 2 Thrusters
Athlete 2. Complete 1 Hang Squat Snatch into 1 Overhead Squat
Athlete 3. Complete 1 Squat Clean into 1 Hang Squat Clean
**kicker: before any member completes a lift, you must complete 20 double unders. You can designate that to any member of the team; it doesn't have to be the lifter.**
Scaled and Masters get to choose doubles or singles.
15 minute time cap
Each athlete will be assigned to 2 of the workouts. You can pick ANY of the two you'd like but in this order. 6 workouts total, 3 athletes, two workouts must be completed per athlete. Total time completed is your score.
