About This Competition
Function Farm Challenge:
A Members-Only Fitness Event
Get ready, members of Function Health Club! We're excited to introduce the Function Farm Challenge, happening on May 4th.
This special event is designed exclusively for you - our community of fitness enthusiasts. Dive into a series of workouts combining strongman and functional fitness elements, all while supporting a great cause.
With teams of two, you'll face challenges testing strength, endurance, speed, and teamwork. And the best part? Your participation directly benefits charity, with 100% of the signup fees going to support health and fitness services for those in need.
Charity and Competition Combined
Entry Fee: While the event is free to enter, we encourage a donation as your signup fee, which will go entirely to charity. Each year we use 100% of these donations to provide health and fitness services in conjunction with local businesses that provide mental health services to those in need.
Prizes: Compete not just for glory, but for fun prizes too! Winning teams will be awarded in various categories, celebrating your hard work and dedication.
What to Bring and What Not to Bring
Bring:
Your best workout gear, suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities.
Personal hydration and snacks to keep your energy up.
Sun protection for any outdoor segments of the competition.
Do Not Bring:
A Bad attitude ;)
Event Day Details
Parking: Ample parking is available on-site. Please follow the event signage on the day for directions.
Spectators: This is a community event! While it's designed for members to compete, cheering squads are welcome. Designated viewing areas will be set up.
Weather Policy: The Function Farm Challenge will take place rain or shine. We're all about embracing the elements, just like our workouts!

Minimum Age Requirement? Participants must be 18 years or older.
Will There Be Food and Drink? Yes! Water stations will be on hand

Workouts
AMRAP 20 minutes
2000/1750m* Row (switch as desired)
400m Farmers Carry Dual (200m each partner; 50m increments)
800m Log Carry (400m each partner; 100m Increments)
400m Sandbag Bearhug Carry (200m each partner; 50m increments)
Max distance shuttle run in remaining time (25m = 1 rep)
RX: Red + 50lb DB / Green + 35lb DB | Log | 20kg Bag
Scaled: 1750/1500m Row | Orange + 40lb / Purple + 30lb DB | Log | 20kg Bag
*mixed pairs will split the difference and row 1875/1625 respectively per division
For Time Waterfall Style:
50 Wallballs
50/40 Cal Row
50/38 Cal Bike
Rx: 20/14lb ball to 10/9' Target
Scaled: 16/10lb ball to 9'/8' Target
At 3,2,1 Go... athlete 1 starts on wallballs. Upon completing all 50 reps athlete 1 moves on to start on the row while athlete 2 begins their wallballs. Athlete 2 cannot pass athlete 1 at any point.
The workout is complete when athlete 2 finishes their respective calories on the bike.

Sled Push
Rx: Sled + 4x45/ Sled + 2x45
Scaled: Sled + 2x45 / Sled + 45
*50m increments | every 5m is a rep
For Time Waterfall Format:
21 Medball Walking Lunges per leg
15 Burpee Box Climb Overs
9 Sandbag Cleans over the shoulder
Rx: 20/14lb | 40” Height | 100/70
Scaled: 16/10lb | 40” Height | 70/50
Max Reps of the following complex between you and your partner
8min AMRAP
3 Deadlifts
2 Hang Cleans
1 Thruster
Rx: 135/85
Scaled: 95/55
*Partner must hold box from handles while other partner completes reps of the complex
**when switching positions both partners must complete the following before continuing:
Rx: 5 box jump overs each partner
Scaled: 5 Broad Jumps each partner (minimum 4ft distance covered)
1 rep = 1 unbroken set of the complex (cannot put the bar down or break up the reps)
