About This Competition

WELCOME TO THE 24AMRAP WINTER CHALLENGE 2021!


You are about to embark on a mission that will test your physical and mental capabilities like never before. You will do this together with teams from all over the world in a unique global real-time team challenge. The 24-hour AMRAP Challenge 2021 will be the 11th edition of our event. Dozens of teams and hundred of athletes and thousands of supporters worldwide will battle each other in a 24 hour race in real-time. 6-man teams. 24 hours in your box. In a carrousel style fashion: 1 athlete works and 5 rest.

Every hour 3 new movements are published in your dashboard. You need to complete 500 reps per hour with your team to stay in the race. After 24 hours the team with the most amount of total points/reps will win the competition. The winner takes it all: a huge trophy and eternal glory.

  • What? 24 hours of CrossFit back-to-back

  • When? 11 + 12 December 2021 at 12 o'clock midday to 12 o'clock midday CET

  • Where? In your own box

  • How? EHOH = Every Hour On The Hour we will publish 3 movements to choose from (1, 2 or a combination of all 3)

  • For who? A team of 6 athletes with at least 2 female athletes

  • Level? All movements must be performed using RX standards but there will be movements for ALL LEVELS!

  • Requirements? Your team needs to perform 500 reps each hour to stay in the race

  • Rules? No one in your team is allowed to leave the box/gym, you cannot bring in or switch members once the competition has started

  • Who wins? The team that has completed the most amount of reps after 24 hours

  • Judging? Every team needs at least 1 CFL-1 certified coach or certified CF Judge + if you want to win you need to film at least 15 minutes of every hour of your team in action and store it for judges review after the event

  • Cost? €159 per team of 6

  • Register you team here - registration ends on sunday December 5th at midnight CET

  • Prize? Winner takes all: eternal glory and a big ass trophy sent to your box

  • Equimpent, movement standards etc? Will all be communicated via e-mail in time

  • Why? Because this is an event that will test your physical and mental strength and endurance and friendship and community like never before! ONLY THE BRAVE!

This is our flagship winter edition. We are fully aware that the world is still dealing with covid regulations but we hope that you will be able to compete even if it means adapting to local regulations fe going outside and keeping distance between athletes. Please note that all sales are final (no refunds) and are sold as team tickets. That means you register with a team name, you can switch athletes up to 24 hours before the competition. Your team must have at least two female athletes. All team captains MUST send in a complete list of all athletes 24 hours before the competition starts with clearly stating which athletes are male or female. Not having sent in a list of athletes may result in disqualification. Send the list of athletes to 24amrap@mail.com

This will be our 11th edition and the reigning world champion is the team "Pennies For The Boatman" from the USA. Will they be able to defend their title or will your team take on the title as world champions? Register your team and embark on this epic journey together!

After you register your team you will receive a confirmation email. In that email you will see a link to your profile page where you can adjust your team name, add your box and country etc. All event info and rules will be sent to you by email after registration as we get nearer to the event dates.

Workouts

Mighty warriors! Congratulations on completing the 24 hour AMRAP Challenge Winter Edition 2021. Thank you for your energy and commitment. We have done our best to answer all (and there were many) questions and communications as quickly as possible and we are proud to have done so within minutes every time throughout this event.

24 CHAMPRAPER team from Ninnik CrossFit is in first place and we will start tomorrow with video validation of movement standards and rep count with them and have already contacted them. We will keep you updated through our Instagram and Facebook pages. For now, celebrate and rest and recover!

The warm-up


  1. Air squat
  2. Sit-up
  3. Push-up

Every rep of every movement equals 1 point. Have fun! Remember: pacing is key! Fallback movment is the burpee so 1 burpee is 1 point throughout the entire event.

  1. Strict chin-up - 1 rep = 3 points

  2. Jump squat - 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  3. Mystery movement #1 = Barbell Bicep Curl -> empty men's or women's barbell: curl it baby: 1 rep = 1 point! Start position: barbell on the legs, arms outstretched, end position: knuckles above elbows! [video]

And remember: dem burpees are always 1 point!

  1. Deadlift for weight - pull!!!! 1 kg moved = 1 rep (for pounds please convert to kg before submitting scores)

  2. Double dumbell hang clean (2x 15/10kg) 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  3. Crab walk (backwards or forwards it's up to you) - 1 meter = 1 rep [video]

the halfway hour


  1. Row for meters - jump on a Concept 2 rower and row: 5 meters equals 1 point

  2. Mystery movement 2: diamond pushup - 1 rep = 5 points [video]

  3. Double unders - 1 rep = 1 point

Buddy hour = happy hour!


In this hour TWO athletes HAVE to work together at the same time. So again: ONLY in this hour TWO athletes can work at the same time. Wake up your buddy and get crackin'!


  1. Synchronized air squats

  2. Synchronized sit-ups

  3. Synchronized push-ups


All movements done TOGETHER at the same time = 1 rep TOGETHER is 1 point!

The Fallback Movement, the Burpee, is also synchronized for this hour!

  1. Shoulder to overhead with barbell - push press, strict press or jerk it's up to you: 40/30kg (90/70lbs) for reps so 1 rep = 1 point

  2. T2B - toes to bar, you know the drill, 1 rep = 2 points

  3. Box jump 24"/20" box, 1 rep = 1 point (full extension at the top)

Don't forget the Fallback Movement: burpees are always 1 point

Power hour


  1. Back squat for weight - 1kg moved = 1 point (convert weights from pounds to kg before submitting score) You know the drill by now: get those plates movin'!!!

  2. Row for calories - 1 calorie = 1 point

  3. Goblet squat (12/8kg kettlebell or equivalent in dumbell weight - pounds please convert) 1 rep = 1 point [video]

Yes it's the dreaded isometric hour my friends! You hold the position for time, make sure you rotate strategically between athletes to maximize your scores!


  1. Wall sit - legs parallel to the floor, back on wall, hold that position [video] - 1 second = 1 point

  2. Inverted hang - grab the rings, go inverted, hold that position [video] - 1 second = 1 point

  3. Handstand hold - get into the handstand against a wall, hold that position - 1 second = 2 points

None of these your cuppa tea? There's always the fallback movement: burpees!

bench press heaven


  1. Bench press for weight - every kg moved = 1 point (pounds calculate to kg before submitting scores)
  2. Ring support hold - get into the ring support hold position and hold - 2 seconds = 1 point [video]
  3. V-up: 1 rep = 1 point [video]

Hammer time!


  1. Bar muscle up - 1 rep = 10 points! You know the drill

  2. Pull-up (strict/kipping/butterfly) - 1 rep = 1 point

  3. Z-press: sitting empty barbell strict press - 1 rep = 3 points [video]

  1. Running - 5 meters = 1 point (go outside and run!)
  2. Thruster with empty men's or women's barbell - 1 rep = 1 point [video]
  3. Ring dips 1 rep = 2 points [video]

  1. Clean & jerk for weight with barbell - using a barbell performing a clean & jerk (push or split) from the floor up - 1kg moved = 1 point [video]

  2. Knees to elbows - 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  3. Mystery movement 3: Triple unders - 1 rep = 10 points [video]

  1. Mystery movment #4 - Inverted Burpees against a wall! 1 rep = 10 points [video] IMPORTANT: in the video you ẃill see a freestanding HS as the end position but you are allowed to end it in a HS against a wall

  2. HSPU (Handstand Push-up) 1 rep = 3 points [video]

  3. Single russian arm kettlebell swing 16/12kg - using 1 arm swinging 1 kettlebell to eye-level, 1 rep = 1 point


Back at the farm...


  1. Farmer walk - with a kettlebell weighing 24/16 in EACH hand walk/run 3 meters = 1 point [video]

  2. Overhead plate walk 15/10kg plate (30/20lbs) - hold plate overhead and walk/run - 5 meters = 1 point

  3. Sumo deadlift for reps 40/30 kg (90/70 lbs) for reps - 1 rep = 1 point [video]

Not the Adrian from the Rocky movies but the Hero WOD "Adrian" and 2 of its uncommon gymnastics movements:


  1. Forward roll - 1 rep = 2 points [video]

  2. Wall Walk - 1 rep = 8 points [video]

  3. Hanging Knee Raise - 2 reps = 1 point [video]

As tradition states: the overhead squat and plate sit-ups plus the last mystery movement. Enjoy!


  1. Overhead squat for reps 40/30kg (90/70lbs) - 1 rep = 2 points [video]
  2. Plate sit-ups - hold a 10/5kg (20/10lbs) plate and perform sit-ups: come up in the sit-up and press the plate towards the ceiling - 1 rep = 1 point [video]
  3. Mystery movement #5: synchronised burpees (so 2 athletes work at the same time simultaneously) - 1 rep performed together = 5 points [video]

  1. Barbell hang power snatch 40/30kg (90/70lbs) - 1 rep = 3 points! [video]

  2. Dead mans hang - just hanging on the pullup bar 5 seconds = 1 point [video]

  3. Plate hug walk 15/10 (30/20lbs) - grab a weight plate and hug it close to your chest, cuddle it and take a walk with it (you are only allowed to keep it in that position so in a chest-hug) - 2 meters = 1 point

Hour 4 is here! We´re on a roll! 

Make sure you are selecting the right hour when submitting your score of that hour.


  1. Kettlebell hang snatch for weight! - start with the kettlebell (yes kettlebell, NOT dumbell) from the hang position between your legs gripping it with one hand and bring the barbell in Snatch extended OH position - The score is the amount of kilograms you move. 1 kilogram equals 1 point. So: for example an athlete completes 10 reps with 24 kilograms that would produce 240 points (10x24). If you count in pounds (lbs) convert to kilograms for scoring!!! [video]

  2. Box Stepover 20"/24" - stepping over the box in any way you want, two feet have to be on the box in the transition, two feet start on the floor on one side and end with two feet on the floor on the other side = 1 rep, extension at the top is nót required [video]

  3. Jumping Jacks [3:1] - start with feet inside shoulder width and hands on thighs, use a jump to transition to end position with feet wider than shoulder width and hands touching above head - 3 jumping jacks equals 1 point [video]

Here we go! Hour 5 allready! Bodyweight killers, you're up!


  1. Pistol Squat [1 rep = 5 points] [video]

  2. Chest To Bar [1 rep = 3 points] [video]

  3. Russian KB Swing (24/16kg - 1.5pd/1pd) - russian means bringing the kb up to eye-level, 1 rep = 1 point [video]


500 reps per hour per team to stay in the race folks! Fallback movement = burpees.

MAN UP!


  1. Strict pull-ups: 1 rep = 3 points

  2. Single under rope jumps [3:1] - 3 rope jumps = 1 point

  3. Manmakers with 2 dumbells (15/10kg) - from plank position using both db's do a push-up, 1-arm db row on each side, clean and a thruster [video] 1 rep = 5 points

Push it, push it real good


  1. Floor press for reps - with empty men's / women's barbell on the floor 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  2. Single arm kettlebell push press (12/8kg) 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  3. Jumping lunges 1 rep = 1 point [video]

do you even squat?


  1. Front squat for total weight so 1kg moved equals 1 point (pounds please calculate/convert to kg) for exmple 50kg x 10 reps = total score of 500

  2. Duck walk - 1 meter = 1 point [video]

  3. Plank hold on elbows: 5 seconds = 1 point [video]

Clean it up!


  1. Power clean 40/30kg (90/70lbs) 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  2. Box jumpover 24"/20" box (no need to extend body on the box) 1 rep = 1 point [video]

  3. Sandbag carry/walk/run 15/10kg or equivalent in pounds - 2 meter = 1 rep (if you don't have sandbags you can hug a plate or carry a single dumbell of equivalent weight)
