About This Competition

The 1st Phorm Monster Games are a test of fitness typically found at Semi-Final CrossFit competitions. The place July 12-14 on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO.

The 2024 games exploded to over 1,600 athletes fighting for 820 total spots.

With experienced event and athlete programming from Jacob Heppner's Grit Performance, Jason Ansley and Steven Tackett, The 1st Phorm Monster Games prides itself on being a full test of fitness.

LEGENDS MASTERS REGIONAL QUALIFIER
Our in-person Master’s individual competition serves as the Midwest Regional qualifier for the December 2024 Legends competition in Tempe, AZ.  Quickly rising to the premier Master’s Competition in the United States, Legends has their own qualifier in September, all 3 podium spots in all age divisions at the 2024 1st Phorm Monster Games get their ticket punched directly to Legends in December! When registering, use the age you will be on December 31, 2024!

There will be a minimum of 8 scored events.  Workouts will not be released until the week of competition but here is what you can expect:

Rx - Run (long up to 7k), swim (short), high skill gymnastics, barbell cycling, rope climbs, Dumbells, high Box Jumps, Hand Stand Walking and Hand Stand Push-Ups, Sand Bags, GHD's, Various Olympic Lifts and various machine distance/cals.

Intermediate/Masters - Similar to Rx but ligher loads, volume and high skill gymnastics.

Scaled - You will be tested in general fitness without high skilled gymnastics or heavy loads.  You will MIGHT swim & you will run.  We consider this to be a good starting point if you've never competed but you can generally perform most class workout movements.

Refund Policy - You will be refunded if you qualify for the 2024 CrossFit Games, outside of that there are no refunds.  Should a teammate become injured, you may substitute with a new partner.
