About This Competition
604 Partner Battle
The Partner Battle is a paired CrossFit competition with same gendered pairs competing together in a variety of events on one day, Saturday May 25th, 2024. The events will take place in or around CrossFit 604 in Gastown, Vancouver. You can expect anywhere from 3-5 workouts or events throughout the day starting at 8am and finishing around 4pm. Last year we had 3 events, with the first 2 having 2 scored parts so we had 5 data points to determine the fittest partners.
There are 2 divisions you can register for, Rx or Scaled, both partners must be in the same division.
The Rx division will see common CrossFit Class or CrossFit Open weights and movements with some higher skill movements and heavier weights to test the more advanced level CrossFit athletes. As a general guideline, If you are thinking of registering for the Rx division you should have most of these weights / skills in your repertoire:
Snatch (185/125)
Clean and Jerk (225/155)
Deadlift (365/250)
Thruster (135/95)
Dumbbell movements (50/35)
Muscle-ups (bar or ring)
Handstand push-ups
Handstand walking
Toes-to-Bar
Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups
Double-unders / Single crossovers
Box Jumps (30/24”)
Rope Climbs
For the scaled division, all level athletes are welcome, if there are prescribed weights or movements that are not suitable or safe for you to perform you are welcome to scale further as needed, but your score would be adjusted lower that teams that perform the prescribed movements or weights. Common weights and movements seen in a scaled level competition are as follows.
Snatch (95/65)
Clean and Jerk (135/95)
Deadlift (185/135)
Thruster (95/65)
Dumbbell movements (35/25)
Chin over bar pull-ups / jumping chest to bar / ring rows
Push-ups
Hanging Knee Raises
Single-unders
Box jumps (24/20”)
Rope Pulls (from the floor)
The above is by no means a list of movements or weights that we will see in the workouts, just a general guideline to help you decide what category would be best for you and your partner.
For our gender diverse, trans and non-binary athletes, please register in the division of your choosing.
