Pre Open 2020 5 Week Strength Block
About This Competition
Testing Competition Corner again, this time for a strength training block prior to the Opens. The strength block will last for 5 weeks followed by a de-load week before the Opens begin on the week of 15th Feb.
Record your Max lift achieved for 6 reps. There will be a different lift each day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
We advise you to start at a load below your current working weight for 6 reps X 6 sets (every minute) with an increment of 2.5kg per week which you are to report here. Use a slow controlled tempo during each rep to build strength.
The goal at the end of the 5 weeks to have progressed back to your working weight with maybe a small increase in weight and to have perfected your technique through referencing the movement videos and descriptions provided by us.
