About This Competition

The Austrian Throwdown (formerly known as Hypertrophy) is Austrias biggest competition. Starting in 2015 as a national championship the Austrian Throwdown got bigger and better every year and opened up to international athletes in 2018. In 2019 we celebrate our fifth anniversary and we have some big things planned. So join in and be part of the Austrian Throwdown. Fight for your spot in the Final Event.

Registration ends at May 17th 2019
You do not have to do the WODs on a weekly basis, you can enter your scores for all three WODs until May 17, 11:59 PM.
We do not give any refunds on qualification fees.

Clean & Jerk (60/40)
Burpee Box Jump over
On the call “3,2,1 Go” the athlete starts with the first set of 21 Clean&Jerk and continues with 21 Burpee Box Jump Overs. This is followed by 15 Clean&Jerk with 15 Burpee Box Jump Overs and 9 Clean&Jerk with 9 Box Jump Overs.
This Workout has a 12 min TimeCap and you will get 1 sec Penalty for each missed rep.
7 min AMRAP

(40/30, 50/35, 60/40, 70/50, 80/55, 90/60 - max Rounds)
On the call “3,2,1 Go” the athlete has to perform 2 Rounds of 3 Snatches and 3 Overhead Squats. He then has to change the weight on his own to perform the next 2 rounds with the required weight. The athlete continues with the same procedure until he reaches the last weight or the time cap of 7 min. If he reaches the round of 90/60 kg before the time cap, he performs as many rounds as possible with this weight.
Your score for 2A is the total amount of reps performed within the 7 minutes.
3 min AMRAP
max reps of 7 unbroken T2B
After the Time Cap of 2A, the athlete continues immediately with part B. Part B is a 3 min Amrap of 7 unbroken T2B. Your score is the total amount of T2B with only completed unbroken sets of 7 add to this count. For example - if you are completing your first set of 7 T2B, your score is 7. If you fail and have to break up your second set you score is 0. The only exception for this is if you are in the middle of your set while reaching the time cap. A set counts as unbroken as long as the athlete is hanging on the bar with his feet off the floor.
Your score is the total number of T2B with unbroken sets.
