About This Competition

We are excited to present SILVERBACK SERIES VOL.2


SAME SEX 3's

SCALED categories- FEMALE 3'S + MALE 3'S

(NO QUALIFIERS)

SATURDAY 22ND APRIL

EACH TEAM will receive a team name board.

If you did our first event you hopefully know, but except a really fun challenging day. Hopefully one filled with PB's.

Expect an awesome atmosphere with live DJ (Logun DJ) playing and Dan Wagmax on the mic.


Each team guaranteed 4 challenging workouts testing a variety of skill sets and strategies as a team to overcome.

COME BATTLE IT OUT WITH YOUR TEAM. CASH PRIZE POT UP FOR GRABS.



Movement standards:

Scaled 

This is a category for athletes who usually complete the CrossFit Open as scaled. 


  • Barbell movements / db movements:
  • Snatch / Clean Jerk/ Squat for reps (25kg/35kg)
  • Deadlift for reps (60kg/80kg)
  • All db movements for reps (10kgs/ 15kgs) 
  • Able to use a 6/9kg wallball.


Gymnastic movements 

  • all team members be able to perform hanging knee raises and be comfortable with single skips. 
  • One team member to be able to perform a pull up (any variation, including jumping pull up. Or chin up)
  • One team member to have Kipping hspu to ab mat no plates. 
  • If you are someone that can link sets of toes to bar, pull ups, Kipping hspu and double unders we encourage you to enter the RX category. 
  • One team member to have wall walks to open standard.

Your score on R.L.R B- will be each athletes heaviest successful lift combined. To find your total in kgs

9 Minute AMRAP


21 Synchro DB hang clean + jerks (1 x10kg each)(2 athletes working)

15 Synchro Ab-mat sit ups (2 athletes working)

9 Synchro Down ups (3 athletes working)


Your score will be total amount of reps your team completes at the 9 min mark.

For time- 12 Min CAP


200 Single unders

100 Deadlifts (50kg)

160 Single unders

80 Front rack lunges (30kg)

120 Single unders

60 Synchro Hanging knee raises (2 athletes working)

80 Single unders

40 Hang power snatches (25kg)

40 Single unders

20 Pull-ups


(During every set of SU the barbell must held up in a deadlift position and remain up until the required amount are completed. If at any point the barbell is not held up the SU will not be counted.)


You score will be the time taken to complete the workout, if you do not finish within the time cap then each rep left will be added on as a second to your time.

For time- 12 Min CAP


200 Single unders

100 Deadlifts (70kg)

160 Single unders

80 Front rack lunges (45kg)

120 Single unders

60 Synchro Hanging knee raises (2 athletes working)

80 Single unders

40 Hang power snatches (35kg)

40 Single unders

20 Pull-ups


(During every set of SU the barbell must held up in a deadlift position and remain up until the required amount are completed. If at any point the barbell is not held up the SU will not be counted.)

16 calorie bike

40 front squats


Athlete B:

Part A- score will be the total amount of weight combined from each athletes barbell. Each athlete must decide the weight they wish to use for the workout once on the bar it cannot be changed.


Each athlete completes their full amount of work before the next athlete can then begin.

Time to SEND IT ON THIS ONE!!!!

Athlete A:

12 calorie bike

Athlete B:

18 calorie bike

Part B- score will be the time taken for your team to complete the workout. Any reps not completed at the 9 min mark will result in a extra second added for every rep not completed.
