About This Competition
The biggest functional fitness event in Oregon keeps getting better every year. The 6th annual Gobbler Gauntlet is teams of 3 athletes, and is held in a 5,000 seat arena known as the Pavilion in the Oregon State Fairgrounds. Expect 3-4 challenging workouts and an exciting winner-take-all finale! In addition, you can battle your friends in Washington by attending the same event up there the next weekend. NWFG is expanding and taking the show on the road.
This event is well represented with 55 different boxes present last year, and around 550 athletes. No pets allowed in the facility, no refunds (but we allow you to get credit up to two weeks before the event). Grab 2 friends and get ready for the most fun you have had at a competition all year!

Workouts
Each person completes a 500m row for time, score is the sum of all three times.
Ex: Athlete 1 - 1:35, Athlete 2 - 1:32, Athlete 3 - 1:29. Score is 4:36 (lower is better)
Complete for time, Cap 12:00
40-30-20-10 reps of
- 3 Person Deadlift (weight TBA)
- Handstand Push Ups*
- Calories on the Bike
Scaled, Novice, Teens, Youth will NOT do handstand push ups and instead do push ups on the deadlift bar.
9:00 to find a max for each person of:
- 3 rep Hang Squat Clean Thruster (aka Cluster)
Complete for time (10:00 Cap):

- 20 Dumbbell Burpees*
- 50 Jumping Pull Ups
- (Rx, Masters start here)

- 40 Pull Ups**

- 20 Bar Muscle Ups

* Dumbbell Burpees/cleans will include bringing the dumbbells up to shoulder height. Weights are:
- Rx: 2x 50/35# Dumbbells
- Masters: 2x 35/25# Dumbbells
- Scaled: 2x 35/25# Dumbbells
- Novice/Teens: 2x 20# Dumbbells
- Youth: 2x 15# Dumbbells
** Pull up bands are available for Novice, Teen, and Youth divisions as needed
