A.K.A "3 bars of death"

Some Details:

  • Registration Opens:  3/18/2023
  • Format:  Individual for now.  We might add a team division.  Still waiting on some feedback
  • Price:  FREE
  • Power Cleans:  they are allowed!!!!

Divisions:

  • RX
  • Intermediate
  • Scaled
  • Teams (see Team rules below)

Males and Females combined for now.  We'll split as folks sign up.  Same with Masters.  We'll set Masters age as 38 and up.  

You can Power Clean!!!  

Prizes:

  • We'll throw in some swag for the top finishers in each division.  No need to stick around to win.  I'll get materials to you when I see you.

Live Stream:

  • We will live stream the entire event on our Facebook and YouTube Pages
  • Early sign-ups get the best lane slots for Live Stream viewing

 

Linda Workout:

All athletes must weigh in at CrossFit Vertex the day before or anytime before their heat.  Please weigh in before the whole thing starts!!

Team Format / Rules:

  • The Intermediate Weight Chart is used (see above)
  • Team of two or three people, mixed gender is fine
  • All team members weigh in
  • An average of weights is taken and used as the team's weight.  See Example below.
  • Non-lifting team members stand in the starting area
  • Team members must tag in the next person between movements or when switching out in a single movement
  • Teams of three are responsible for spotting the bench press.  If the spotter goes next on bench, both the lifter and spotter must walk to the starting area.  The spotter is tagged in

Team Weight Example:

Person 1:  150
Person 2:  175
Person 3:  200
Average:  175

Barbell (Intermediate Weight Chart):

  • Deadlift:  230#
  • Bench:  150#
  • Clean:  125#
