We are super excited to bring back our APE GAMES this year at one of the biggest and most fun fitness events of the year, TheFITEXPO, at the Anaheim Convention Center!
This is a chance for athletes of ALL LEVELS to test their skills in two events and qualify for the finals.. In a fun and welcoming environment that offers a chance to give it your all and leave it on the floor.
And… Did we mention?
We are giving away thousands in CASH PRIZES!! PLUS FREE ENTRY to the EXPO.
*This is a ONE day event.
Run twice, August 17th & August 18th
Meaning athletes will finish all events in ONE day. *Athletes must qualify to compete in event 3. Top 5 competitors from each division compete in the Finalist event (Event 3)

SCORING
Total score is the SUM all ALL 3 EVENTS.
All points from each event will be tallied and
placements will be posted at completion of
each event.
Upon finalization of BOTH DAYS the “Grand
Champions” will be announced and posted
along with 2nd and 3rd.
**ONLY top 5 athletes from each division advance to EVENT 3**

Entry and Check in
CHECK IN -
Check in starts at 8am
We will have a check-in booth in the lobby in front of the Main Entry doors to the hall B
You must Check in at booth BEFORE entering the hall.
*We recommend arriving 1hr before your wave time.
**COMPETITION STARTS AT 10:30AM**

**FINAL SCHEDULE MAY CHANGE UNTIL REGISTRATION CLOSES on August 14th**
**FINAL HEAT TIMES WILL BE ON COMPETITORS WRISTBANDS. Competitors MUST FOLLOW THE **EXACT TIMES ON THE WRISTBANDS**
**WE HAVE A RECORD FOR RUNNING COMPETITION ON THE VERY EXACT MINUTE** There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAITING ON ATHLETES**
**We recommend athletes being at warm up area 30minutes before their time**
Spectators are allowed in at regular opening time (10am)

Workouts
EVENT 1
(For Time / 10' CAP)
Begins with 6 plates stacked on one end (starting Line) and an empty power sled 50 feet away (end line).
When time starts, Athlete must:
1. Take a plate and load it on sled
2. Go Back to start Line
3. PULL sled to start Line *HAND OVER HAND*
4. PUSH sled to end line
5. Go back to start Line to grab another plate and do it all over again until all 6 plates are on sled.
*Once all 6 plates have been PULLED AND PUSHED back to the end line, athlete must take all 6 plates ONE AT A TIME back to start line and place them on a stack.
*Time ends when the LAST plate is placed on pile.
**ROPE:
-1 1/2 thickness
Weights are as follows for divisions (6 plates)
For fun:
Male:25lb
Female:10lb
Intermediate:
Male: 45lb
Female:25lb
Rx'd:

SCORE:
1000 points for 1st place
900 points for 2nd place
800 points for 3rd place
700 points for 4th place
600 points for 5th place
500 points for 6th place
400 points for 7th place
300 points for 8th place
200 points for 9th place
100 points for 10th place
Rules:
-Athletes are not to lift the rope of the ground, athletes must pull the rope HAND OVER HAND (NO DOUBLE HAND PULLS ALLOWED)
-PUSH. Athlete must push BACK end of sled (area closes to athlete) PASS the END LINE.
-PULL. Athlete must pull sled until it TOUCHES the START LINE
**Athlete must stay behind start line at all times.
**In in the event that athlete doesn't finish on time, placement will be awarded based on how far into the completion of the rase he/she got.
For example: (these examples are in order of LOWEST to HIGHEST placement) -6plates, loaded but missing pull, push and deload.
-6 plates, loaded and pull only. No push or deload.
-6plates, loaded, pulled, pushed and incomplete deload. .
The distance traveled during push and pull is also accounted for placing.
*there are no partial points for unloaded plates, partial points begin ONLY after plate is loaded.
Athlete has a total time of 8 minutes to perform the following sequence as many times as possible.
15 HEAVY Jump rope skips
3 Power P.Clean or Clean accepted
Scoring:
50 Points per Clean/P.Clean completed inside cap

**ROPE:
-WEIGHT 6lb
-1 1/2 thickness
GENERAL RULES:
-starts with the 15 jumps
-jumps: No points awarded for Jumps
-jumps: BOTH feet must go over the rope per whip
-jumps: jumping or skipping allowed. No stepping over.
clean: Elbows must end in front of bar
-clean: knees lock out
*Note: Both a clean or a power clean are acceptable. There is no receiving depth requirement. Barbell must touch the ground between each rep, partial points given per clean completed.
**50 points per clean
FINALIST EVENT.
The Ape Games are known for their "surprise finalist event" "you never know what you are going to get"
Meticulously planned so that ALL athletes are able to perform, the Finalist Event will bring GREAT EXCITEMENT to everyone involved. Athletes and spectators alike.
