St. Sebastian Smackdown
About This Competition
Join us for the St. Sebastian Smackdown, a CrossFit competition to benefit the Athletics Department and PTO of St. John Paul II School. Registration is open to same-sex and mixed-gender pairs, and will include teen divisions (13-14;15-17).
START TIME: 7:00 am athlete check-in, 8:30 am Competition Start
COST: Before January 20th: $100/couple, T-shirts available at athlete check-in.
After January 20th- $125/couple, t-shirts will be available for pick up at SPCF 2 weeks after the competition.
Registration closes February 8th at 11 pm.
- Registration includes an event t-shirt and many other perks we will be adding along the way!
Athlete briefing will begin at 8 am.
Additional parking will be available at St Anthony’s directly behind Southern Pines CrossFit during the competition.
Movement Standards
Competitive/Rx:
Front Squat: 165/105
Clean & Jerk: 165/105 for reps
Deadlift: 225/155 for Reps
Wall Ball: 20/14 for reps
Dumbbell Snatch: 50/35 for reps
Pull Ups
T2B
Double Unders
Community/Scaled:
Front Squat: 115/75
Clean & Jerk: 115/75 for reps
Deadlift: 185/125 for reps
Wall Ball: 14/10 for reps
Dumbbell Snatch: 35/25 for reps
Jumping Pull Ups
Hanging Knee Raises (past the horizontal plane at crease of hip)
All of the workouts will be announced via social media prior to the competition.
Tailgating is welcome, but please leave pets at home!

At 3-2-1 Go, Athletes begin with synchronized T2B. After completing all 15 reps, Athlete A will complete 30 Wall Ball Shots while Athlete B rests. Once Wall Ball Shots are completed, Athlete B will complete 15 Devil’s Press. Athletes will alternate Wall Ball Shots and Devils Press by Round.
