About This Competition

CrossFit Burien and Elliott Bay Brewery are partnering up again for the throwdown of the summer! Join us on August 18th for some fitness and fun. Same-sex teams of two will compete for prizes, pride, glory and of course brews!

Workouts

“Karen” On 3...2...1...Go, you and your partner will have 4 minutes to complete “Karen” (150 wall ball shots) followed immediately by 6:00 to establish a 1 rep max snatch for each team mate for a total combined weight. You will receive 2 separate scores for this WOD. "Karen" can be broken up however you and your partner choose. If you cannot complete "Karen" within the 4 minute cap every remaining wall ball rep will add a second onto your overall time. “Karen”: Men 20# ball to 10’ Target Women 14# ball to 9’ Target Scaled Men 14# Ball to 10’ Target Scaled Women 10# Ball to 9’ Target

After completing "Karen" athletes will have 6:00 to find a 1 RM snatch. The score will be a combined weight of both partners. Power snatch or squat snatch will be acceptable. You must tell your judge the weight you will be lifting prior to executing your movement. Full extension of knees, hips and arms must be performed for your snatch to be considered a good lift before dropping your bar.
