Fit Mumma Classic
About This Competition
The Fit Mumma Classic is an individual fitness competition just for Mums*
*Mums include grandmas, step mums, foster mums, surrogate mums, mother figures.
This is a community event, held the week before Mothers Day, in celebration of all Mums.
Registration:
Registration opens on Tuesday 7 February 2023 at 10am.
Tickets are $65 with our charity partner Baby Give Back receiving 10% of all ticket sales. There will be further fundraising activities on the day so stay tuned!

Divisions:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Masters 40+
Competition Flow:
All competitors will take part in 3 events. Some outdoor and some indoor. There will be a winner takes all final contested by the top competitors in each division.
Workouts:
Workouts will be released 2 weeks prior to the event. The final will be announced on the day.
Movements:
Refer to Divisions tab for example of movements and weights for each division.
Scaling:
If you cannot do a movement you will have the option to substitute it for a scaled version. Your score will be below anyone completing the workout as prescribed.
Refunds / Postponement of Event:
Tickets are non refundable but subsitution is allowed.
If the event is unable to be held due to a public health order (lockdown) the event will be postponed and a new date announced. Full refund will be made available to anyone who cannot attend the new date.
On the Day:
Specatators are encouraged. This is a family friendly event with lots of onsite vendors, competition, food and fun. Coffee and food vans will be on site.

*If an athlete cannot do toes to bar they may scale to wallball situps (same standards as masters) but they must choose to do so before the workout and inform their judge. The athlete cannot swap between toes to bar and wall ball situps. An athlete who scales the toes to bar will be marked as scaled and place below athletes who perform the workout as written.
Masters

40 wall ball sit ups - ball must touch floor behind head and then toes
50 box jump or step overs (can switch between stepping and or jumping)
Beginners

40 Sit ups - butterfly - touch ground behind head and then touch toes
50 box step ups - must open hips at top of the box
Workout Flow
Athletes will have 8 minutes to complete Part A. They may then rest until the start of Part B or Advanced, Masters, Intermediate may choose to start their lift.
Beginners must wait until the end of the 8 minutes before starting Part B.
Immediately after completing Part A (or when time-capped at 8 minutes) the athlete may begin their lift. The bar can be pre-loaded and the judge may help the athlete load the bar. The athlete may go up or down in weight and may choose the number of lifts attempted. The heaviest lift only is recorded.

The School Run

Workout Flow
The athlete will complete as many calories as possible on the bike and will then rest for 60 seconds before being given the cue to go. They can then pick up the sandbag and commence their run (the sandbag cannot be picked up before the cue to go). The athlete will run or walk, with their sandbag, down the driveway, around the cone and return the sandbag to the sandbag mat. They will then complete their movement on the start mat until the end of the 60 seconds.
Athletes repeat this for 3 rounds on bike and 3 rounds of sandbag run & activity.
There will be two mats - one for the sandbag to be picked up from and returned to and the start mat for the activity (double unders or burpees).

Score is total cals + total burpees or double unders.
* Tie break time is the time when athletes feet return to mat after sandbag run on first round
