About This Competition

Lubbock's Longest running team competition is back! 

Novemember 1st and 2nd 

CrossFit Wild West 

8502 Memphis Drive, Lubbock, TX 79423 

 

We are bringing back teams of SIX this year. 3 men and 3 women 

Divisions: Scaled, Intermeidate and RX 

* There will only be 12 team spots per division. 

As in years past, expect an offsite event to kick things off Saturday morning and be prepared for any kind of weather and to get a little dirty! 

 

A portion of all proceeds will be going back to the local Veteran organization "We Honor Veterans" and the "Veterans Pantry" housed at Hospice of Lubbock! They have been a part of the event these last few years and are always incredible grateful for any contributions that are made by the event and our attendees! 

 

Workouts will start rolling out as we get closer to the event so stay tuned to our social media channels for those details! @crossfitwildwest on Instagram 

 

We will not be able to refund any purchases made but can make substitutions where needed!

INDOOR FLOW: One person will start on the rope while the other two start on the KBS. Once both reps are completed, they switch. The pair on the KBS must synchronize the KBS and on the rope they can alternate however. If the pair or the single person finishes before the other, they wait for completion. You can not switch between one and two person teams. Continue in this same fashion for 7 minutes. 

 


TRANSITION FLOW: Upon 7 minutes, the two triplets have 2 minutes to transition from indoor to outdoor. You can switch one person to two person between the events, but not within the event. 

 


OUTDOOR FLOW: One person will being on their mat with jump rope while the other two begin their farmer carry. Once both reps are completed, they switch. The pair on the farmer carry must carry all four bags, split up however they want, and can alternate on the jump rope however. The single person must also carry their “gender assigned” weights and complete the jump rope by themselves. If the pair or the single person finishes before the other, they wait for completion. You can not switch between one and two person teams. Continue in this same fashion for 7 minutes.

FLOW: All athletes will start behind the machines. At the call of GO, two athletes of teams choosing will hop on the rower and the bike. At the same time, two athletes of teams choosing will move to the pull up bar to begin on synchro TTB/TAH. Once TTB/TAH are completed, a MF pair of teams choosing must move to the barbells and complete 11 synchro thruster. After the thrusters, three athletes of team choosing will move back to the rig for ring muscle ups/pull up variation. In order for RMU to count, two athletes must be hanging from pull up bar. Once RMU are completed, a MF pair of teams choosing will finish the first round of the AMRAP. Athletes can switch pairs from machines to AMRAP however they see fit, as long as there is a MF pair for the barbell movements. Once 4:00 hits, athletes must add weight to their next designated weight. Same goes when the 8:00 hits. Once the machines are done, that is the first score. Second score is rounds + reps. 

 


SYNCHRO STANDARDS: 

TTB - Toes must touch the bar at the same time

TAH - Toes must be above hips at the same time 

THRUSTER - At the overhead position at the same time

SNATCH - At the overhead position at the same time
