About This Competition

SiD Triple Threat 2023

Introducing 'SiD Triple Threat’, a same sex teams of 3 competition that will be taking place at NEC Birmingham on the 9th & 10th of December.


Teams will compete in a one day competition, with different divisions competing across 2 days. The following categories are avaliable each day:

 

Allocated Competition Days

Rx and Scaled Saturday 9th December

Rx+ and Masters Sunday 10th December

 

SATURDAY

Rx and Scaled Divisions:

On Site Registration: Friday 8th December 6-8pm and Saturday 9th December 7:15-8am

Information on Rx Division

The Rx level competition is intended for those who completed all of the CrossFit Games Open workouts as Rx. They should be proficient in all of the Rx listed movements. Rx athletes may be required to handle odd objects.

The Rx tests will be geared toward testing work capacity and skill in known domains.

Information on Scaled Division

The Scaled level competition is intended for those who completed less than half of the Open Workouts as RX and are not competent with all of the Rx listed movements. Scaled will not perform high level gymnastic movements such as muscle ups, handstand push ups or heavier loadings in weightlifting but should be able to perform pull ups. Scaled athletes may be required to handle odd objects or perform scaled versions of higher level gymnastics skills. 

The Scaled tests will be geared toward testing work capacity over skill.

SUNDAY

Rx+ and Masters Divisions: 

On Site Registration: Saturday 9th December 5-7pm and Sunday 10th December 7:15-8am

Information on Rx+ Division

The Rx+ level competition is intended for those who completed all of the CrossFit Games Open workouts as Rx and potentially went on to compete in the Quarter or Semi Finals. They should be proficient in all of the Rx listed movements.

The Rx+ tests will be geared toward testing work capacity and skill in both known and unknown domains.

Information on Masters Divisions (105+)

The Masters 105+ competition is intended for those who completed all of the CrossFit Games Open workouts as Rx in their appropriate age division. They should be proficient in all of the Rx listed movements. Masters 105+ athletes may be required to handle odd objects.

The Masters 105+ tests will be geared toward testing work capacity and skill in known domains.

Eligibility: Masters in the 105+ division must be a minimum of 35 years of age at the time of the live event registration (Saturday 9th December). The combined age of the participating athletes must be 105 years or greater at the time of the live event registration (Saturday 9th December). There is no maximum age for this division.

Information on Masters Divisions (130+)

The Masters 130+ competition is intended for those who completed all of the CrossFit Games Open workouts as Rx in their appropriate age division. They should be proficient in all of the Rx listed movements. Masters 130+ athletes may be required to handle odd objects.

The Masters 130+ tests will be geared toward testing work capacity and skill in known domains.

Eligibility: Masters in the 130+ division must be a minimum of 40 years of age at the time of the live event registration (Saturday 9th December). The combined age of the participating athletes must be 130 years or greater at the time of the live event registration (Saturday 9th December). There is no maximum age for this division.

NO QUALIFIERS

Unlike other SiD competitions, teams won’t need to qualify for ’SiD Triple Threat’ so if you have always wanted to experience the thrill of competing in a SiD Arena, but didn’t quite make it through qualifying, this is your opportunity.

COACH PASS

Coach passes are not included within the Triple Threat registration fee.

PRIZE POT

There are no cash prizes for any of the competing divisions. We will work with our Vendors and Partners to secure goodie bags for podium places.

SiD Triple Threat is part of FitFest 2023 which will also feature the below events, making it a must attend event for any member of the UK functional fitness community…

  • A pro athlete showcase: featuring 16 x World-class athletes including Danielle Brandon, Pat Vellner, Brent Fikowski, Alexis Raptis and Dallin Pepper (with more to be confirmed soon)

  • The British Rowing Indoor Championships 

  • The English Weightlifting Championships

  • ATHX Grand Finals Day
