About This Competition

Semper Paratus is back for 2022, with a full day of excitement! 

Same-sex Pairs Competition at CrossFit CrossAxed
230 Lytton Road, Morningside

COST PER PAIR: $83*
SATURDAY 11th JUNE
 
06:30am Registration/Brief
07:30am First Heat

We will have coffee available on-site on the day, along with some local businesses offering their services and support.

There will not be any food to purchase on-site (only protein & energy bars $5 at reception), however we have an abundance of options nearby.

Please read the following information on Divisions and Movement Standards.
(Masters and Teens; please select your division accordingly, based on the below movement standards).

Important Event Information: 
- Athletes will judge other pairs. We will not have Judge Volunteers this year.  
- Registration Opens Monday 16th May.
- Registration Closes Sunday 22nd May 2022 8pm.
- Briefing will be 6am sharp. Please keep aside a full day; we anticipate the event being completed by 4pm. 

EVENT WILL BE CAPPED AT 50 TEAMS. 
This invitation has been circulated to 2021 Athletes Only. However, please feel free to share with anyone else who may wish to compete this year. Anyone is welcome, it is simply First In, Best Dressed. Spectators welcome!

Workouts

Immediately after completing Up Against The Wall, go straight into a 1rm Bench Press, combined total.

Clean and Jerk Ladder on the 01:00

 


Both athletes need to complete a lift while the other athlete completes max effort Drag Rope Double Unders.

 


Workout is scored twice, once for the total combined weight lifted per athlete and once for the total double under reps.

*note

Wall walks start with both athletes on the ground. Athlete one goes to the top position withholds on the line near the wall, athlete 2 can then start and go to that position, athlete one then returns to the ground and back up before athlete 2 can go to the ground and back to the top position. Effectively one athlete needs to hold a wall facing handstand at all times, once each athlete has done 5 reps the set is complete.
