About This Competition

Battle Of The Brave 8, Feb 2nd-3rd, 2024, is a 2-day, 4-person (MM/FF) fitness competition in support of Veterans and First Responders suffering from PTS (Post Traumatic Stress)⁣

Our mission is to raise awareness and encourage support for the men and women who are suffering due to the sacrifices they made on our behalf. ⁣

Combat and trauma occurred in the line of duty, is just the beginning. Healing from those incidents is the true Battle Of The Brave.⁣

This year we will have RX, Intermediate, and Scaled divisions.

For time, 3min time cap. 

Ascend the wall. 

4 Rounds for Time - 10min TC

RX:

5 Rope Climbs
15 Synchro Squats with all three objects.

*1 person will be resting while the team is squatting.
Everyone must switch objects each round. 4 rounds ensures everyone uses every object.

Intermediate: 

5 Rope Climbs

15 Synchro Squats with all three objects. 

*1 person will be resting while the team is squatting.
Everyone must switch objects each round. 4 rounds ensures everyone uses every object.

Fat Bar Front Squat(135/85) M: 2x35's + 2 x 25's. F: 2 x 35's

Scaled:

10 Pull-to-Standing
15 Synchro Squats with all three objects.

*1 person will be resting while the team is squatting.
Everyone must switch objects each round. 4 rounds ensures everyone uses every object.

Ladder going evert :30s for Max Load:

Barbell Complex: 1 Deadlift + 1 Clean + 1 S2OH
M:95-115-135-155-185-205-225-255-275-300

*every :30, two rows of bars, one male, one female.
*weight jumps at each bar
*At 3,2,1, go the first person steps on the platform and hits the comlex. then moves to the next until they cannot complete the complex at the current weight.

RX - For Time - 10min TC

Accumulate 90 Synchro TTB (M/F pair)
120 Cal C2 Bike (M/F pair) while partner hold KB Overhead (53/35)

*one M/F team will do as many reps of TTB as possible, while the other M/F team collects as many calories on the C2 Bike as possible. A timer will goes off forcing teams to switch.

*If the athlete holding the KB overhead drops them, then the partner on the bike has to stop immediately.


Intermediate - For Time - 10min TC

Accumulate 90 Synchro TTB (M/F pair)
120 Cal C2 Bike (M/F pair) while partner hold KB Overhead (53/35)

*one M/F team will do as many reps of TTB as possible, while the other M/F team collects as many calories on the C2 Bike as possible. A timer will goes off forcing teams to switch.

*If the athlete holding the KB overhead drops them, then the partner on the bike has to stop immediately.


Scaled - For Time - 10min TC: 

120 Synchro Knee Raises (M/F)
120 Cal C2 Bike while partner hold KB Overhead (35/26)

*EMOM the partners switch. It's an interupting cow workout.
*Knees must get above hip crease and behind rig upright

*one M/F team will do as many reps of Knee Raises as possible, while the other M/F team collects as many calories on the C2 Bike as possible. A timer will goes off forcing teams to switch.

*If the athlete holding the KB overhead drops, then the bike has to stop

RX:

1 MM/FF pair
100m Run (1 person)
15 DB Bench
30 Double Unders
15 HRPUs
100m Run (1 person)
15 Synchro WB's

*One MM/FF pair will complete 4A,
while the other MM/FF pair completes 4B.

*After the 1:00 rest, both pairs will switch and complete the other workout. Both pairs need to complete both workouts.
*These will be 4 separate scores.

*RX:
DB's (50/35's)
WB's (20/14)

Intermediate:

1 MM/FF team

100m Run (1 person from two person team)

15 DB Bench
30 Double Unders
15 HRPU's

* 1min rest between 4A and 4B
