German Throwdown Classic 2023: A True Test of Fitness
Welcome to the 9th annual German Throwdown Classic, the pinnacle of elite fitness competition in Germany. Experience the thrill of a diverse range of challenging workouts—from gymnastics and weightlifting to endurance and highly coordinative movements—brought to life by athletes worldwide. Competition Overview
Our two-stage competition begins with an online qualification phase, opening in August 2023 for individual athletes, and September 2023 for teams. Top athletes will secure their place at the grand finale in Mainz, Germany, on November 18th - 19th, 2023.
Registration is open to athletes from around the globe seeking a formidable challenge. Minimal equipment requirements ensure everyone has a chance to compete. For more details, visit our website.
Divisions and Prizes
We welcome athletes across various divisions—Elite, Master, Intermediate, and Teen—as well as Teams. In the spirit of community, we're also introducing an Intermediate Team division. Our prize pool, exceeding 20,000€, varies per division, ranging from cash awards to non-cash items from our sponsors.
Here's an overview:
- Elite: Online Qualification, 6+ final workouts, Prize Pool: >10,000€ in Cash
- Master: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: >4,500€ in Cash
- Intermediate: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: Non-Cash Items
- Teen: Online Qualification, 5+ final workouts, Prize Pool: Non-Cash Items (parental waiver required)

Registration and Online Qualifiers
Take the first step to earning your place at the finals by registering for the online qualifiers. Workouts and standards videos will be published over a two-week span, with scores required by the last evening of each single workout. This competition is open to international athletes, with workouts performed at a location of your choosing.
Individual Athlete qualifiers: Registration open until 11th August 2023, 12:00h (CEST).
Team qualifiers: Registration open until 8th September 2023, 12:00h (CEST).
Early Bird (until 2 weeks before first workout announcement):
- Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 24,90€
- Team: 99,90€
- Teens: 10€
Standard Price (last 2 weeks before first workout announcement:
- Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 29,90€
- Team: 119,90€
- Teens: 14,90€
Late Price (after first workout announcement):
- Elite, Intermediate, Masters: 34,90€
- Team: 139,90€

The Grand Finale
The finals will take place on November 18 - 19th, 2023, at Halle 45, Hauptstraße 17, 55120 Mainz, Germany. A select number of athletes across all divisions will receive invitations to the finals, including those awarded Wildcards, who bypass qualification and receive a direct invitation.
The following numbers of athletes (including Wildcards) will be invited to the finals after qualification:
- 30 Elite Male and 30 Elite Female
- 10 Master 35 Male and 10 Master 35 Female
- 10 Master 40 Male and 5 Master 40 Female
- 10 Master 45 Male and 5 Master 45 Female
- 5 Teen Male and 5 Teen Female
- 10 Intermediate and 10 Intermediate Female
- 20 Elite Team
- 20 Intermediate Team
The fee to enter the final will be 149.90€ for Elite, 139.90€ for Masters & Intermediates and 399.90€ for the Elite teams. The Teen athletes will have a fee of 49.90€ and the Intermediate teams a fee of 349.90€. All prices include VAT. Please note that Competition Corner will add a processing fee.

Unser zweistufiger Wettbewerb beginnt mit einer Online-Qualifikationsphase, die im August 2023 für Individuals und im September 2023 für Teams eröffnet wird. Die besten Athleten sichern sich ihren Platz beim großen Finale in Mainz, Deutschland, vom 18. bis 19. November 2023.
