About This Competition
Get ready for the ultimate test of teamwork and fitness at Crossfit Origin's newly named "Origins Odyssey Mixed Pairs Competition!" 🏋️♂️🏋️♀️
Join us on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at 8 am for a day of epic challenges and camaraderie. This premier event features both Intermediate and Advanced divisions, with advanced teams competing for impressive cash prizes: $1,500 for 1st place 🥇, $750 for 2nd place 🥈, and $250 for 3rd place 🥉.
Teams must consist of one male and one female athlete. Keep an eye out for workout announcements as we approach the event, giving you the chance to perfect your strategy and performance. 🔥
CrossFit Origin is proud to offer top-notch facilities, including a spacious gym, a welcoming on-site cafe, various vendors, and a dedicated warm-up area. The event promises a vibrant atmosphere buzzing with community spirit and a shared love for fitness. 💪

Workouts

Ladder: 45 secs ON, 15 secs transition
ADVANCED: 1 x Squat Clean 1 x Hang Clean 1 x Jerk
Intermediate:1 x Clean 1 x Hang Clean 1 x Jerk
Advanced must squat clean their first rep. Any Style of hang clean is permitted , any style of jerk is permitted.
Adv Womens weights: 45,55,60,65 70,75,80
Int women's weights: 30,40,45,50,55,60,65
Adv Mens weights 70,80,90,100,110,115,120
Int Mens weights: 55,60,65,70,75,80,85
If you have a good lift on the final bar you will progress to an 8th barbell where you can choose your own weight.
If you have a good lift at a weight, but don't think you will be able to get the next lift then there is a tie break with front squats. You May Dump The Barbell after completing your jerk before going into your tiebreaker for a Max unbroken set of front squats.
