About This Competition

BROS × DOES 2023 returns to Toronto on November 19 & 20th, 2023.  

Athletes will compete in fun challenging events suitable for a broad range of ability levels at Heritage Court, Exhibition Place in Toronto, ON.

Division Schedules

BROS × DOES (MF Pairs) | Intermediate & Competitive Teams will compete on Saturday, November 18th.

BROS × DOES (MF Pairs) | Recreational and Masters Competitive teams will compete on Sunday, November 19th.

BROS × DOES (MF Pairs) | Elite teams will compete on Saturday AND Sunday, November 18th & 19th.

BROS² & DOES² (MM Pairs & FF Pairs) | Intermediate & Competitive teams will compete on Sunday, November 19th. 

Teams will be cohorted, and athletes need to be available to compete between the hours of from 8a - 7p as full details and timing of heat cohorts will be released after Seeding is complete.

Beginner or first time competitors
Able to run/bike/row pain free
Performs The CrossFit Open® scaled

Bodyweight Requirements
Jumping Pullups & Hanging Knee Raises
Box Step-Ups & Single Skips
Hand Release Push-ups

Barbell Requirements
Ground-to-Overhead 95/65
Thruster / Snatch 75/55

Intermediate (Incl. Masters)
Suitable For:
Beginner to experienced competitors
Performs The CrossFit Open® workouts mostly scaled

Bodyweight Requirements
Single/Low Rep Kipping Pullups & Toes-to-Bar
Box Jumps & Single Skips
Standard Pushups

Barbell Requirements
Ground-to-Overhead 135/95
Thruster/Snatch 95/65

Competitive (Incl. Masters)
Suitable For:
Intermediate to experienced competitors
Performs The CrossFit Open® workouts mostly Rx

Bodyweight Requirements
Cycling Kipping Pullups & Toes-to-Bar
Single/Low Rep Bar Muscle-Ups
Box Jumps & Double Unders
Kipping Handstand Pushups / Rope Climbs

Weightlifting Requirements
Squat Clean & Jerk 205/135
Thruster / Snatch 135/95

Elite (Rx+)
Suitable For:
Experienced Competitors
Performs The CrossFit Open® workouts all Rx / Quarterfinals Athlete

Cycling Chest-to-Bar Pullups, Muscle Ups & Toes-to-Bar
Drag Rope Double Unders
Strict/Deficit Handstand Pushups

Smart Seeding

All teams will complete a seeding workout prior to competition day that allow us to schedule teams in appropriate heats and facing off against teams of similar ability.

Other Information

Refunds: There are no refunds.

Transfers & Substitutions: Teams that wish to transfer their registration or make individual substitutions due to injury, illness or other extenuating circumstances are permitted to do so until November 1st, 2023 at 11:59pm.

Masters Divisions: Both athletes must be a combined age of 70+ with neither athlete being younger than 35 years old as of December 31st, 2023

Spectators: Spectator tickets will be sold for this event.
