Turkey Throwdown 2022
Partner competition, can be same or mixed pairs.
No refunds of any kind, substitutions allowed for same division
Will include 4 scored workouts, including one weightlifting complex
Heats will begin at 9am and go until 3pm.
All workouts will be released by October 15, 2022

Workouts
Event 1
AMRAP8
Partner 1 completes 12 deadlifts 185/125 Intermediate and 135/95 Scaled - Partner 1 counts their reps out loud as the judge will be counting jump rope reps.
Partner 2 completes 45 double unders / 90 singles
When both partners have completed their work, they move to the rig.
Both partners complete 15 synchro pull ups / 10 synchro jumping pull ups with a bar 6” above head (may be assistance or rig depending on height.
Synchro pull ups are completed when both athlete’s chins are above the bar. One athlete may “wait” with their chin above the bar as the other partner joins them, or drop down and both redo the rep. Rep must start in the hang together, with arms fully extended.
Partner 1 completes 45 DU / 90 singles
Partner 2 completes 12 deadlifts - Count reps out loud as the judge will be counting jump rope reps.
Both partners complete 15 synchro pull ups /10 synchro jumping pull ups 6” above head
Complete as many rounds as possible in 8 minutes.
Partners will work in unison to complete DU and Deadlifts at the same time. Deadlifts will be counted out loud.
Deadlift standard: fully stand up rep through knee and hips with shoulders behind the plane of the bar.
Pull ups: chin passes over bar, heels pass behind the bar in arch. Scaled athletes start with arms fully locked out.
Double unders: rope passes twice under feet per jump. Singles pass once under each jump.
Event 2
Partner 1 completes bike calories, then rests while Partner 2 completes bike calories.
Partner 1 completes 12 BFB, then rests while Partner 2 completes BFB.
Continue on until all of the work is completed.

Bike: reset for each round to zero.
Bar facing burpee: clear, two foot jump and landing over the bar. May jump back or step back in the burpee. All divisions will jump over the bar.
Clusters: Bar starts on the ground, pass through a full front squat (hip crease below the knee) and press bar overhead. If they miss the squat, that can redo the squat and then press, doesn’t need to go back to the ground. May not push jerk the bar up. Head through at the top, bar over mid foot. Watch from the side.
Event 3
Hang Power Snatch + Power Snatch Complex
Athletes will have 8 minutes as a pair to find a complex of 1 hang power snatch into one power snatch. No reset is allowed at the bottom of the rep. Must complete both lifts successfully for score to count. Judge will call “good” once the bar is shown to be successful after each of the two lifts.
Athletes will share one bar, may add or decrease weight as needed. Clips must be on the bar for each lift. Judge may help load the bar. Plates can range from 2.5 and up. As many attempts as desired.

Toes to bar: heels pass behind the bar, and both feet touch the bar at the same time.
Row: may switch as desired, but both athletes complete 50% of the calories
OHS: athletes move simultaneously to the bottom of the squat and stand. If one athlete gets a no rep, other athlete can hold bar overhead as they wait for the rep to be completed. Hip crease must clearly pass below parallel.
Weighted Step Up: may switch as desired, but both athletes complete 50% of the reps
Hold the dumbbell in the front rack with both hands. Stand up fully for each rep. Do not need to alternate legs.
