Steps for Registering
How do athletes register to compete at WCC in either the Elite Individual or Elite Team of 4 division?
- First, athletes that want to be eligible must register for the CrossFit Games Open.
- Next, are the steps necessary to register:
- Elite Individual
- First, the athlete must go to www.westcoastclassic.com and register (cost is free!) Registration is open now, through the end of week five of the CrossFit Games Open.
- Each week, athletes must input their scores through the WCC website.
- Please note, submitting scores to the CrossFit Games website will not add them to the WCC leaderboard.
- Once the 5 weeks of the CrossFit Games Open comes to an end & registration closes, the leaderboard will be finalized, and video(s) will be requested by Team WCC.
- Once changes have been made to scores based on video review, the top finishing athletes will receive their invite to register to compete at the West Coast Classic.
- Elite Team of 4
- First, one person for your team must be designated as “team captain.”
- For the qualifying portion, teams will consist of three men & three women (MMMWWW.)
- The team captain must go to www.westcoastclassic.com and register (cost is free!) and input information for all six team members.
- Registration is open now, through the end of week five of the CrossFit Games Open. Following the conclusion of each week of the CrossFit Games Open, the team captain must input the individual scores of each team member into the WCC website. The system will automatically sum their individual scores, to project their cumulative team score, which will be the sum of the top 2 male and top 2 female scores on that particular workout.
- Please note, submitting scores to the CrossFit Games website will not add them to the WCC leaderboard.
- Once the 5 weeks of the CrossFit Games Open comes to an end & registration closes, the leaderboard will be finalized, and video(s) will be requested by Team WCC.
- Once changes have been made to scores based on video review, the top finishing teams will receive their invite to register to compete at the West Coast Classic.
- Approximately one month prior to the event, teams must designate the two males and two females that will be competing. The other two athletes will remain on the roster as alternates.
