About This Competition

CALLING ALL MASTERS ATHLETES IN THE DC, MARYLAND, AND VIRGINIA REGION!

MASTERS OF THE DMV RETURNS ON 2 August 2025!

CrossFit Kingstowne will be hosting its 7th annual Masters of the DMV Team competition on 2 August.  This event is a one-day team competition strictly for Masters athletes, and will feature three age divisions for athletes 30-39, 40-49, 50+. This is not a scaled competition for older athletes.

Masters of the DMV was designed to showcase the abilities of Masters athletes in the DMV area. We will once again offer three team categories of Male/Male, Female/Female, or Male/Female with all three team categories competing against each other within your age division for the podium!

If you joined us the last few years you already know this event is different from any other Masters competition in the area. For this event you won’t walk away with just a medal, top finishers will receive some pretty sweet prizes from our sponsors, as well as gift cards for our Fit Collective Gear and Apparel shop for our first place teams.

REGISTRATION:
Cost: $215 per team (processing fee not included).  Early Bird Registration ($195) for first ten teams who register.  Registration will go live on Wednesday, 14 May at 10 a.m..  T-Shirt Order Deadline is 14 JULY 2025.

AGE DIVISIONS:

30-39 M/M; F/F, M/F
40-49 M/M; F/F, M/F
50+ M/M; F/F, M/F

If teams are comprised of athletes in different age categories (e.g. one athlete is 36 and one is 42) then the team must compete in the younger team members age division.  Using this example the team would register for the 30-39 division.  Athletes will be required to present their IDs upon check-in to ensure a fair competition.  Athletes must be the age of the division they register for by the event date (unless dropping down to a lower division).

NEW THIS YEAR:

🚨 NEW THIS YEAR: Solo Rider Division! 🚨

Want to compete in Masters of the DMV 7 but don’t have a partner yet? We’ve got you covered!

For 2025, we’re introducing the Solo Rider Division — designed specifically for athletes who are eager to participate but haven’t found a teammate. When you register as a Solo Rider, we’ll work to match you with another athlete in your same age division who's also looking for a partner.

👉 Once a match is made and both athletes agree to team up, you’ll receive instructions to complete your official team registration and payment.

This new option is our way of making it easier for more athletes to get in on the action — no partner, no problem!

Register under the Solo Rider Division and we’ll take it from there. 💪

BENEFITS:

  • We have been running large scale competitions ranging from 100-400 athletes since 2010
  • Great location just off the Beltway and within walking distance to the Van Dorn Metro Station
  • Top place finishers can expect to receive real prizes, not just medals, to include gift cards to our Fit Collective Gear and Apparel shop for our first place teams in each division

Athletes are requested to park on South Pickett street or in the Cameron Station neighborhood and encouraged to carpool to limit stress on our parking lot.  Additional parking is available at the Van Dorn Metro Station and the LA Mart Shopping Plaza.  A parking volunteer will be on site to ensure that parking is available for other merchants and customers within the shopping plaza and to ensure there is no double parking.  Athletes are encouraged to bring tents and chairs to set up in the alley behind our facility where the Athlete Village will be located.  The athlete village will be located outside (rain or shine).
