UK PAIRS COMBINE - FIT3SIXTY, WORCESTER
About This Competition
WHAT IS THE TURF GAMES 'COMBINE'?
You've been TRAINING for months - now it is time to add in TACTICS and TEAMWORK and get back on the TURF. The Turf Games Combine is a Pairs competition where we visit 6+ gyms across the UK, starting on October 3rd and culminating in a final on December 19th. Athletes will compete in 4 workouts across a COMBINE testing various aspects of their fitness in a fun, competition style format. Each pair will be on the TURF for between 50 and 70 minutes to complete their workouts and have their scores on our LIVE! leaderboard.
THE FORMAT
The 'COMBINE' will be a PAIRS competition
- Male (M/M)
- Female (F/F)
- Mixed (1M/1F)
Each location will be a 'stand alone' event. The winning pair from each of the above 3 categories at each location and date, will progress to the London final on December 19th at CrossFit Putney.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time - no earlier. Ideally, please arrive with your partner, this will make check in more efficient. Upon arrival -
- Get your temperature taken
- Sanitize your hands
- Check in at the reception desk
- Collect your Under Armour Turf Games top - you will need to let us know your size
- Pick up your wristbands
- Sign the COVID waiver and get ready for your start time.
At ALL times prior to your start time, unless you are seated, you will need to wear a facemask while in the reception/change rooms of FIT3SIXTY. You will not need to wear one while inside the actual gym while competing, outside or sitting down at a table. If you are inside the gym watching you will need to wear a facemask.
We will have a photoboard inside the venue - at some point while you are at the venue we would like to get a shot of all pairs during the day in their Turf Games tops so make sure you get one before you leave.
Due to restrictions, spectators or non-competing athletes will not be allowed inside FIT3SIXTY to limit numbers.
Each workout is maximum 10 minutes, you will have at least 5 minutes between workouts. So, for example, if you booked into 10.45 pm when you purchased your entry, your workouts will be 10.45pm, 11am, 11.15am, 11.30am. If at the end of the day there are pairs on the same points, the pair with the most 'higher place' finishes will finish above.
DURING THE WORKOUTS
Although you will be working as a team, each athlete will have their own piece of equipment on some workouts - this doesn't mean that you won't need to work as a team and discuss your tactics. Pairs will be socially distanced in lanes and we ask you try and stay 1m apart as often as you can. All equipment will be cleaned down after each pair has used it ready for the next pair.
You must sanitise your hands before you start each workout. You may bring your own chalk, but please do not share. Lifting shoes, lifting belts, wrist/knee straps are allowed, but nothing that covers the palm of the hand
ONCE FINISHED
Your workouts will take approximately 60 minutes. Once finished your last workout, if you can make your way off the gym floor and follow the same protocols as when you arrive - masks to be worn inside unless sitting down and please sanitise your hands after your last workout. If you can leave the gym within 10 minutes of your finished time that would be much appreciated.

Then, Each athlete will have the remaining time to perform as many broad jumps as they like, with each athletes best 3 jump points counting towards the teams score
Jump Distance points,
151 - 180cm - 2 pts
1.81 - 2.10cm - 3 points
2.11 - 2.40cm - 4 pts
2.41cm - 2.70cm - 5 pts
2.71cm + - 6 pts
SCORE = TOTAL TEAM POINTS
TIE BREAK = deadlift/burpee time
