Rumble in the Hills
About This Competition
We are proud to present the 1st annual Rumble in the Hills!
This RX and Intermediate event will be held at Flex Fitness/Sturgis CrossFit in Sturgis, SD.
Teams of 3 will consist of either Male/Male/Female or Female/Female/Male. This is a very unique format (I haven't seen it before) and we think it will be an absolute athlete/fan favorite!
1-2 of the workouts will be released prior to the competition and 1 of the events may include the hopper :)
Movements NOT in RITH 2021: pistols, ring muscle-ups, overhead squats, handstand walks, handstand push-ups.
Rx Movements (at least one member): bar muscle-ups, double unders, ability to run, row, bike, ski
Possible Weight Requirements:
Rx weights (at least one member): Deadlift 255/185, Snatch 95/65, Clean 95/65, Press 95/65
Ladder complex event (hint, hint) starting weights 95/65
Intermediate weights (at least one member)- Deadlift 185/13, Snatch 75/55, Clean 75/55, Press 75/55
Ladder complex starting weight at 75/55

Ladder Complex of a Deadlift, Hang Squat Clean (or Power Clean + Front Squat), and Press.
Each Rung completed is a point. One athlete may go at a time. Rungs may be attempted as many times as needed. Once a rung is completed that athlete will move up one rung.
Trail Run
Run to checkpoint 1, where you will complete 150 KBS (70/53 RX, 53/35 Int)
Then you will run to checkpoint 2, where you will complete 150 Single Arm DB Clean and Jerks (50/35 Rx, 35/25 Int)
Next you will back to the gym and complete a 3k row once the entire team is back in the box.
