Barbells & Bacon is back for its 8th year running!! & Its going to be one action packed, fun competition.
Barbells & Bacon is a team competition with 4 members on each team. Teams of 2 Guys & 2 Girls will throw down in 3 workouts throughout the day, testing each strength, stamina, & skill along with strategy & teamwork. This isn't a competition to be missed. Get your team ready!
Registration goes live September 23rd. There are a limited number of spots, so don't hit the snooze button & miss out.
First workout is released October 22nd
Second workout comes out November 5th
Third workout comes out November 12th

Athlete Parking is located in front of the building, in the back half of the parking lot. (the front must be left open for the retail stores customers)
Refunds can be issued up until 2 weeks prior to the event (November 27th)

Workouts
20 Synchro Thrusters (115M/75F)
20 Synchro Burpees over bar (lateral or bar facing)
- M/F Pairs at a time
- Partners must complete one round of synchro thrusters and burpees before the next pair may begin their round.

12:00 Time cap
Each member of the team will aim for their heaviest bear complex.
The complex consists of:
1 Power Clean
1 Front Squat
1 Shoulder to Overhead
1 Back Squat
1 Shoulder to Overhead
Team members may go as many times as they choose and their highest weight completed complex of the 5 movements will be counted. The sum of the 4 team member's complexes will be the team's score.
Clean - May be a power clean or a squat clean. BUT, if you do a squat clean, you must still perform a front squat after you stand at the top of the clean with hips at full extension.
Front Squat - hips must go below parallel.
Shoulder to overhead - may be a strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk.
Back Squat - hips must go below parallel for the rep to be counted.
* IF the athlete chooses, they may do a thruster between the front squat and the S2OH.
** If the judge issues a No-Rep at anytime during the complex, the athlete must start the complex from the beginning.

One person will be completing the reps at a time and another team member will be rowing. Team score is the total number of reps plus the total number of calories rowed. Two team members will be resting at all times.
