Workouts

RX Squat Clean Ladder Weight: 75-95-115-135-155-185-205-225-245-275 Scaled Clean Ladder Weight: 45-65-85-105-125-145-165-185-205-225 Each team will have 90 seconds to complete as many successful repetitions in the ladder. At 3-2-1 one of the two athletes will start at the beginning of the ladder. Once a successful lift is completed the athlete will continue to the next weight. Once Athlete-1 cannot complete a weight they will run back and tag their partner (Athlete-2). Athlete-2 will advance to the weight that was not completed by Athlete-1 and continue the ladder from there. Time will be completed once the full ladder is complete. If Athlete-2 cannot successfully complete a given weight the athlete has the option to deadlift the bar as many times as possible within the remainder of time. Each deadlift will count as 0.1 lbs, this will be utilized in the event of a tie. RX:The barbell begins on the ground. The athlete must pass through a full squat with hips below the knees. Receiving the barbell in the bottom of the squat is not required. A power clean or split clean followed by a front squat will be permitted. The rep is complete when the athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended, and the bar is resting on the shoulders in the front rack position with the elbows in front of the bar. Scaled:For the clean, the barbell begins on the ground. A muscle clean, power clean, squat clean or split clean may be used, as long as the barbell comes up to the shoulders, with the hips and knees fully extended with the feet in line and the elbows in front of the bar.

12:00 Time Cap 500m row 30 Clean and Jerks RX:135/95 Scaled:95/65 200 RX: Double-Unders Scaled: Single-Unders 30 Snatches RX:135/95 Scaled:95/65 500m row Only one partner can complete the 30 reps of clean and jerks and only the other partner can complete the 30 reps of Snatches. The row and Double-Unders/Single-Unders can be split however decided between partners. Time will end once the last 500m row is complete. 12:00 time cap The monitor on the rower must be set to zero at the beginning of each row. The athlete or the judge may reset the monitor. The athlete must stay seated on the rower until the monitor reads 500 meters. Every 50 meters will count as a rep. For the Clean and Jerk the barbell begins on the ground. Touch and go is permitted. No bouncing. A muscle clean, power clean, squat clean or split clean may be used, as long as the barbell comes up to the shoulders, with the hips and knees fully extended with the feet in line and the elbows in front of the bar. The barbell must make contact with the shoulders, such that the lift is in two distinct phases, the clean, and then the jerk. Snatching is not permitted. A shoulder press, push press, push jerk or split jerk may be used, as long as the elbow, shoulder, hips and knees are fully extended, and the bar finishes directly over the body with the feet in line. If the jerk is missed but brought back to the front rack, the Athlete may re-attempt the jerk from there without taking the barbell back to the floor. This is the standard double-under in which the rope passes completely under the feet twice for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count. For scaled divisions, this is the standard single-under in which the rope passes completely under the feet once for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count. For the power snatch, the barbell begins on the ground and must be lifted overhead in one smooth motion. Touch-and-go is permitted. No bouncing or dropping and catching the barbell on the rebound. Once dropped, the barbell must settle on the ground before the athlete begins the next repetition. No part of the body other than the feet may touch the ground during the repetition. The barbell must come to full lockout overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended, and the bar directly over the middle of the body. This is not a ground-to-overhead any way. A clean and jerk, where the bar is lifted to the shoulders and then lifted overhead is a “no rep.” A power snatch, muscle snatch, split snatch, or squat snatch is permitted, so long as all requirements are met.

1. Gloves may be worn. 2. No wrapping the rope around any body part during pull. 3. First team to pull mid-rope marker 10 ft beyond midline is the winner. 4. Direction of pull will be decided upon arrival 5. Starting cues : “Take the slack” (teams pick up rope, prepare) “Ready, Set, PULL!” (pull begins) The Rope The game involves usage of single equipment i.e. a rope. There is a red mark made in the middle of the rope. This red mark on the rope needs to be at a perpendicular angle to the exact center point on the ground, before the commencement of the game. A white mark is made exactly 10 feet from the red mark on either sides of the rope. The game is won when either side with this white mark crosses the center point. Marking A line referred to as a center line is marked on the playing zone and the rope is placed in a manner that its center mark should align the center marked on the ground. On either sides of the rope at the distance of 10 ft from the center line, 2 more marks need to be made. This is the point where in the first member of each team will stand. How to Play As mentioned earlier, the center of the rope should align with the center marked on the ground. As soon as the referee blows the whistle, each team can start pulling the rope into their territory. The objective of the game is for each team to pull the rope along with the members of opposition team to their side. As soon as the second mark on the rope from the center red mark crosses over to center line, the team to pull the rope to their area wins the game. Fouls There is a particular technique that needs to be applied while playing this game, if not then there will be a foul which can call in for disqualifications. Touching the ground for a longer period of time is also considered as a foul. If one team releases the rope while pulling that team will be disqualified.
