Heatwave Throwdown
About This Competition
Heatwave Throwdown is bringing the fire to CrossFit HPC in Wendell, NC, on Saturday, June 21, starting at 9:00 AM. This high-energy summer competition is designed to test grit, endurance, and teamwork as coed teams of two, one male and one female, battle it out in RX and Scaled divisions. Expect three workouts plus a floater event, challenging athletes across multiple domains of fitness.
Divisions
RX Division – For experienced athletes who regularly perform workouts at prescribed weights and movements.
Scaled Division – For those newer to competition or who prefer modified weights and movements.
Event Structure:
Three scored workouts plus a floater event.
No final event – rankings will be determined by cumulative scores.
Workouts will be announced ahead of time to allow for preparation.
Movement standards will be published to ensure fair competition.
Team Format:
Co-ed teams of two, one male and one female
Registration & Fees:
Early Bird Registration: $150 per team
After early bird pricing ends on May 1, the registration fee increases to $200 per team
No refunds. If a team cannot compete, they may transfer their registration to another team by the deadline.
Additional Details:
Vendors will be on-site with apparel, supplements, and recovery services.
Spectators are welcome – bring your crew and get ready to cheer.
Parking details and athlete check-in times will be sent closer to the event date.
